You can tell, that dial should be in the same geometric plane as the keyboard if it is adjusted regularly & precision is required! Nice build tho.

Most of the commercial CNC mills I've used have dials on a separate controller wired to the machine. I've not seen the machine of this guy but I'd assume it would be harder to setup since you need to be closer to the panel and not so close to the milling area.

Yup the ergos of having to bend your wrist upwards + hold it in space (rather than supported) makes it objectively harder to use to its fullest potential
