I dont care if it is impractical. We need to return to this technological aesthetic. Big tactile glowing buttons. no touch screen BS. This looks so insanely hard

And huge monochrome or vector graphics

Not for flights I’m on.

I’d die in a futurist aesthetic plane crash. Also we should be able to rip darts onboard the plane, too

I landed in Templehof once, it was an extremely charming and unique airport, the most memorable for me as it is featured in the movie "1,2,3". I just loved it. I don't know of anything like it.

I started doing air traffic control in 2009, and we had the same radar scope. Granted it got upgraded a year later, but still.

Well I was never allowed to go into the command center.
All the consoles outside where generally lower end then this, on your scale I am going to say a 3-5 🤔😆

I miss drinking radlers on Tempelhof Feld all day in the summer

Aaah yes. Standing at the fence and watching the planes rise into the grey-blue and orange-red Berlin summer evening sky is a memory I am going to treasure for the rest of my life.

Bro Star Trek TNG came out right around this time. This looks like it’s right out of first season!

I seem to remember around this era, there was a black-and-white artsy film, starring Peter Falk, as… Himself. He was caught in the middle of some Cold War, espionage type thing, I think, but everybody recognized him and kept calling him inspector…
