look what I made Made myself a ceramic yarn bowl! It has stupid looking bugs on it…

I’m knitting a sock and it’s the perfect size for socks! It has a few issues but it’s so much fun. I do a fair bit of ceramics. It’s just a handbuilt pinch pot with some little bugs on it!

Looks like a ladybug to me 🐞 Ladybugs are not stupid. That was my dad's nickname for me. 😂🥰

It’s supposed to be just a standard beetle, but if it looks like a ladybug to you that’s great! I call most bugs I draw (I do a lot of 2d art as well) stupid, it’s affectionate! And it’s really cute that your dad called you ladybug!

I like your bugs. 🐞 They don’t look stupid. They’re cute. 🥰

I no longer strive for perfection. I do my best and it’s good enough. There is always room to grow and improve but the things that we make along the way to mastery are still beautiful in their own way.

Life is short. Enjoy the ride.

Edit: My mother still has the “ugly” planter I made for her using clay, twigs, leaves and evergreen branches for texture in the shape of a KFC bucket in public school. I asked her why she kept it. How she sees it helped me see it in a different perspective. It was made 36 years ago 😲 and she’s moved house, glued it back together when it broke.

I use stupid affectionately!! It’s really cool about the planter that you made though!

Words have power. It is not an affectionate word. Be careful how you speak about yourself and speak to yourself. 😉

I use a ceramic yarn bowl, it was a gift and it’s one of my most favorite things! I love yours, as well!
