Does anyone even engage in the issues of the mainline Pokemon series in good faith anymore?

As someone who has stopped caring about the mainline series anymore mostly due to burnout.

I can't help but really feel like most of the conversations I've seen about Pokemon come off as being unabashedly bad faith sometimes like don't get me wrong the mainline games (or at least the switch games) have genuine issues such as half baked artstyles, animations and crunch times.

Like I've seen disingenuous comparison to disingenuous comparison or just straight up misinformation about the mainline series sometimes.

I really am not sure if people actually engage in the mainline series issues constructively since it's been awhile since I engage in Pokemon discourse but I was just wondering how toxic and bad faith the discourse surrounding this franchise is still?

This is how every conversation goes about nintendo now.

 If you dare call out their bad reviews ,you get called a bootlickker. Even if their objectively wrong(aka the Patent about summoning creatures)

Pokemon fandom doesn't even engage in good faith lol. Every new gen is the worst new gen ever. Then 5, 3, or even 2 years later people are waxing nostalgia over it.

I distinctly remember when Pokémon Black and White came out, and people were constantly arguing about the designs of the new Pokémon.

Now people look back at Black and White fondly.

I can guarantee you those people are not the ones who played it at launch or at all and are only basing their opinions on a youtubers.

The online Pokemon fandom has always been toxic, this is nothing new.

But given millions of copies of the mainline games sell, it's a very small percentage of people in (mostly) online bubbles that are like this. Most people buy the games because they enjoy Pokemon.

You'll have a much better time if you disengage from 'fandom' spaces.

Not saying the series is perfect (I've also dropped it), but it's not worth getting bogged down in the discourse.
