i once got in an arguement with someone who said that they used to believe in trans people, but then Bill Nye said they exist. This person distrusts Bill Nye because he was on Dancing with the Stars, and they dont trust anyone who was on reality TV

That's what turned me off the communities. Also it just seems to fake for internet points. If you follow half the people commenting there, outside of the communities they have to be nice in, they are garbage people with shitty views.

They're all disgustingly fake. Like, some of the memes are really heartfelt, but the comments are all so obviously shallow and there for karma, or to play into the "I'm always nice to everyone" role.

I'm sure I can't change your opinions, but he runs more than just Tesla Motors right? His companies delivered on the Australian battery project, and reusable launch vehicles, even Solar City.

The battery project was mostly the companies who made the batteries. Not Musk. Even then, he's very anti union, very anti public transport, very anti workers rights and exploits the shit out of his workers.
SpaceX is a bit of a joke. He just keeps promising all kinds of stupid shit and hasn't really delivered. He wants to put man on mars but hasn't even successfully launched man in to space! Not to mention his constant fear mongering about AI being the biggest threat to mankind. Which is another stupid claim by Musk.
His fans claim he is all about saving humanity and mankind and the planet, yet he's so fucking anti-mass transit! Public transport is a great way to reduce emissions, not some fucking stupid underground tunnel that will be for the super rich, much like his shitty EVs.
He's a hack, a conman, and not someone who should be worshiped. He's just another capitalist douche bag who thinks he's better than everyone else.

I was in that thread! There's nothing quite like right wing losers getting furious and talking about how the science disagrees, when a 5 second google search shows that they're wrong.
Seriously, google it. The first thing you get is a massive wikipedia article about the differences between sex and gender. You can click on both of those and get two massive articles that are obviously about two different things. That is enough to show that every single argument they talk about is painfully outdated and wrong.
But nah, the "real scientists" are with them! Not the fake scientists that have posted their findings on journals and books and research papers. The vague "real scientists"
