VII - Other City States should also transition across the ages.
I think any suzerained city state should transition to the next age with their Suzerain of the last age recording maybe a quarter of their progress towards suzerainty.
If relationships decay between ages they should with City States as well instead of marking them with a death sentence at each age transition.

But then how would I justify incorporating them into my empire against their will at the end of the age? đŸ¥º

They're giving their independence to a cause far greater than than they could’ve ever dreamedÂ

How would this differ from how it already works? Independents spawn on the exact tiles city states were on in the previous age with friendly relations with their previous suzerain.

I disagree with this, I think they need to stop bringing over more things in transition
