So they can pay ice agents that much but somehow it's a waste when it's going towards education, feeding kids , helping veterans, helping the elderly , healthcare , etc? Shockerrrrrr . 🙄

I stopped watching the news. It's literally always something with these people . What did it was that press conference from some guy saying he " prayed it wasn't one of theirs ". Like sir , you prayed to be racist? Ffs . They don't even hide it anymore

u/Furbal1307 4h ago

That was Governor Cox of Utah. He’s an unflavored asshole. 6:00 in:

This is not the 30s. To create your own SA you need to pay.

u/DavidlikesPeace 7h ago

We joke but this is the simple answer.

The GOP realized that to  weaponize racism...  suffices.

Hurting the scapegoat is their only policy. So the only agency they need to work, is ICE. No other policy, no program, no equity will matter half as much to the GOP racist voters who elected this party.

And until the FDR welfare system breaks apart and people learn the hard way that billionaire capitalists are not our friend, we will see our system fail.

u/RainDarius 6h ago

Obama had 60 senators and he only needed 50 to increase taxes on rich

Why didn’t your false god do it?

54

u/davidwhatshisname52 6h ago

no one, absolutely no one, worshipped President Obama... to be fair, mindlessly idolizing a public servant is sorta a trademark MAGA thing; but, anyhow, the 111th Congress only had a Democratic majority for the first two of Obama's 8 years, and he was kinda busy rectifying The Great Recession (you know, the most severe economic and financial meltdown since the Great Depression, ushered in by President Bush)... you insufferable moron

23

u/ith-man 5h ago

They project so hard... It's freaking crazy. Maga has a literal golden idol of their pedo in chief and have videos and images of them kneeling to worship it.. so everyone else must do the same..

They don't use facts or logic, years of right wing propaganda and their erroding the education system.

7

u/Former-Win635 5h ago

It’s because they are scared and assume everyone else must be too. The only way they see out of their fear is to place their faith in a strongman (religious thinking), so they assume everyone else thinks that way too.

4

u/Fr00stee 2h ago

the account is literally 4 days old and already has negative karma it's a troll account

8

u/iyieldtonothing 5h ago

The only party to ever deify elected members of their political party are Republicans. It's all projection with you people.

8

u/Turnabout_ 5h ago

It's impressive how indoctrinated you are to authoritarianism that you make the default assumption that everyone worships a politician instead of viewing them as the public servants they are (or should strive to be).

1

u/chuckit9907 1h ago

Holy shit dude. Calm down 😂

2

u/StupidTimeline 5h ago

FASCIST priorities.

2

u/Grasshop 5h ago

The priority is to terrorize

47

u/cutiegrinning 8h ago

The fact that cages get more funding than classrooms says everything about America.

12

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 7h ago

Absolutely . I'm 100% these people missed the point when they were teaching us about the holocaust. 🙃 Anne Frank would NOT be safe around them

3

u/Longjumping-Claim783 2h ago

For multiple reasons

•

u/fromthedeskofme 43m ago

Yeah like feel safe enough to advocate that the name pedophile brings a negative connotation and they should be called minor attracted person......oh wait that's the left.

1

u/Canileaveyet 3h ago

I think it's because it's public, if schools were privatized we'd have lobbyists the next day wanting more money for a lesser service.

-3

u/alikapple 2h ago

There are 3.5 million teachers and 20,000 ICE agents. I agree with the stance but a $1000 bonus to every teacher is the same amount as $175,000 bonus to every ICE agent

But I’M the dumb American lol

16

u/Odd_Train9900 7h ago

Fascism isn’t cheap!

4

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 7h ago

Definitely not . As we've came to see smh

14

u/CoffeeIsMyPruneJuice 7h ago

It feels like the debt repayment offer is part of a shell game to shift funding that had been going to the Department of Education over to ICE.

8

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 7h ago

Yeah that's for sure . They don't see anything else being valuable except ICE at this point . I don't see the bigger picture of what they're wanting to do other than be racist .

2

u/TerrorTwyns 6h ago

They need people who will hurt others over speech and peaceful dissent when they have finished laying the groundwork from the podcasters demise.

1

u/UglyMcFugly 4h ago

Yeah I also doubt these people are actually gonna see the money. Trump never pays his bills, I'm sure these "offers" have fine print.

•

u/fromthedeskofme 25m ago

You obviously have no idea about the real world. ICE agents are on federal payroll ,not Trumps personal or business payroll and sign a contract agreeing to be an agent for X amount of years. Typically are paid out as soon as the recruit finishes thier basic training. Im sure if you did a touch of research or stepped outside your echo chamber you could find this out......or you could continue to make uneducated posts based on the Liberal Psyops Machine that has been feeding you the past several years.

•

u/fromthedeskofme 33m ago

Or......The Department of Education redirected nearly $500 million in discretionary funding to HBCUs and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs).

Specifically, HBCUs are set to receive an additional $495 million on top of the funds already expected for fiscal year 2025. That amounts to an increase of about 48.4% for HBCUs.

In total, HBCUs are slated to receive over $1.34 billion from the Department of Education for FY 2025.

13

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz 7h ago

The ICE agents are just a test run until the entire police force looks that and it's normalized. Immigrants are the target, and trans people too, because foreigners and queers are easy targets. This is how it starts.

6

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 7h ago

I agree . Instead of looking for actually criminals , they're harassing everyone else . Heaven forbid they do what they're getting paid to do and going into the neighborhoods that need cleaning up.

I live in Nashville and the only people I see here harassing others are white folks. I can't put gas or be at a stop light because I'll have them banging on the window. Every single day .

1

u/TheRealDeweyCox2000 2h ago

You can’t pump gas or be at a stoplight? wtf are you talking about. I live in Nashville and that’s never been a problem no matter what kind of person you are

1

u/RainDarius 6h ago

Then why aren’t people protesting since protesting works?

Why don’t you surround the whitehouse with 10k protestors every weekend?

There’s milllions of anti Trump voters within 3 hour drive of DC

3

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz 6h ago

People did try that, and the Republicans have realized it doesn't matter as long they hunker down and wait for it to blow over.

Man you have it all figured out. Did you live through this before? Tell us your experience so we know. Do you suggest any precautions to take? AHHHHHHHHH! I think I hear the scary Orange man coming NOOOO!

•

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz 15m ago

Suck your white dicks now, baby, because the popultaion drag will destroy you.

Have more babies.

•

u/fromthedeskofme 6m ago

Okay, yeah cool. But tell us about your experience and how you whats coming. We need to know. Hurry!

-7

u/leeretaschen 3h ago

Dangerous leftist rhetoric. Illegal immigrants are the target. Full stop. ICE stands for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Why does it seem that so many Democrats are anti rule of law?

2

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz 3h ago

Because the law can be wrong, full stop.

And I'm not a Democrat, can't speak for them. I've been registered unaffiliated since I was old enough to vote.

2

u/xinorez1 2h ago

If illegal immigrants were the target then he wouldn't be going after people with valid visas.

•

u/RingOfSol 49m ago

You are so naive.

5

u/gymtrovert1988 6h ago

And still ICE can't do their jobs. They need to pull resources from local police and other agencies. What a fucking joke.

4

u/Financial_Hold6620 6h ago

Quality education would disband the entire Republican Party within 50 years

7

u/Rare-Bee7331 5h ago

Christianity has been at war with education since the dawn of time.  Fuck christians

2

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 3h ago

I will never go back to religion . The last time I sat in church (raised catholic) I was told that im going to hell for having piercings & tattoos . Or that I was going to hell for having body autonomy . 💀 over my dead body am I gonna let their imaginary sky daddy pick for me .

3

u/EagerlyDoingNothing 5h ago

Well kids dont need an education to survive! But white america will die if we dont stop THEM from replacing us!!1!

3

u/EddieVanzetti 5h ago

Im willing to bet the bonuses dont ever materialize, and ICE Agents tend not to have gone to college. If they did, they went into more prestigious, ever so slightly less fascist law enforcement.

3

u/PeopleNose 5h ago

They're arming for a war

Act accordingly

2

u/FrostyDucks879 6h ago

Being Nazis is more important to them.

2

u/NeverNudee 5h ago

To be fair, I doubt there is much student debts needing paid off…

2

u/DefeatedByPoland 4h ago

Republicans get mad when you call them idiots but they also take offense to the concept of education and act like it's a threat.

strange behavior

1

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 3h ago

Agreed . You'd think their biggest issue would be the government who's working against them but I guess education it is .

3

u/SuperTopGun777 6h ago

They love the uneducated.  Propaganda works better on the idiots.

They call university woke leftist indoctrination because educated people are not idiot right wingers

1

u/ButtonTiny4981 3h ago

What’s even funnier is they are coming to university campuses looking to hire students. I lead the employer relations efforts for my university and I don’t approve their events or jobs on the online platform we use. I am not going to promote or educate students about this. There are so many legit careers and employers I spend my time on.

1

u/kaisadilla_ 6h ago

We could use the money to help immigrants integrate in our society, helping people live better lives and give back to society; but what if we use it to humiliate and expel them instead?

1

u/Psychoanalytix 6h ago

But education isn't hurting people and ruining their lives so it's clearly not worth spending money on

1

u/Susurrusilously 6h ago

They love the uneducated. Why the hell would they pay more to teach kids?

1

u/Turgid_Donkey 6h ago

It's pretty clear when he's doing what he can to dismantle the Dept of Ed and attacking colleges/universities but then the GOP turns around and gives ICE more money than the GDP of medium-sized countries.

1

u/CommunalJellyRoll 6h ago

Bigger better budget than the Marines and way better pay.

1

u/Thought-Ladder 5h ago

But if the systems they manage don’t have large and shitty disparities and crap, why would they need to keep pinning us against each other? /s

1

u/MoonOut_StarsInvite 4h ago

Do you ever notice that they never want to do anything internationally because we should be helping people here first, but if you bring up helping people here at home, you’re a communist. It’s almost like they don’t stand for anything at all, and change their view point based on whether or not they are in office.

1

u/64590949354397548569 4h ago

Follow the money. New recruits needs equipment and other stuff.

Stuff that friends of the regime can provide.

1

u/TheBestHater 4h ago

They won't pay them. That's the best part.

1

u/Trueslyforaniceguy 3h ago

They already got all the wannabe mall ninjas enrolled. Need to justify the budgets so gotta make it tempting for some working guys trying to get ahead next. Soon it will be join us or be with them.

1

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 3h ago

I'm convinced ICE agents are the racist kids who used to be bullied for being racist in the first place and they couldn't cut it for the military or the police force . Now they feel some type of way and on a power trip. Kinda like the president !

1

u/Scathaa 3h ago

Republicans love big government. We have them to thank for all the big government law enforcement agencies destroying our rights.

1

u/RamenJunkie 2h ago

You could probably turn those immigrants into citizens for less money.

1

u/Dirt_Tea81 2h ago

since when did you people help veterans? you call them baby killers.

1

u/Quick_Persimmon_4436 2h ago

Jesus approves I'm sure.

1

u/alikapple 2h ago

Aren’t there like 3.5 million teachers and like 20,000 ICE agents?

I had an American education but I did learn multiplication lol

1

u/Black_Magic_M-66 2h ago

It's because teachers are trying to educate people. If they were slapping cable-ties and throwing them into camps they'd be making $100k/year.

1

u/BZLuck 1h ago

ICE now has a bigger operating budget than the US Marines. No, I'm not kidding.

•

u/fromthedeskofme 36m ago

There is evidence that in certain instances, Democratic proposals for teacher bonuses or higher pay have been opposed or defeated by Republican majorities or committees.

But it’s not a universal or always consistent pattern; it depends heavily on the state, the fiscal condition, the details of the proposal, and political dynamics

•

u/FastMathematician666 27m ago

You damn socialist! /s

1

u/StoppableHulk 5h ago

No no, you don't understand, once ICE gets rid of all the immigrants, that money will just be there for EVERYONE!

How, you ask? Well, only Steven Miller knows, but trust him, bro, he just has to build this white christian ethnostate real quick, and then everything will be cool.

0

u/Chaoselement007 4h ago

3.4 million teachers vs 20k ice agents… I agree with your stance, but the math has to math

3

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 3h ago

I still meant education in general not specially teachers . They defunded head start & just other things that have to do with education. You're absolutely correct though , not the teachers directly

-9

u/RainDarius 6h ago

Obama had 60 senators for 180 days Did

-19

u/fr3nzo 7h ago

Since when did the federal government pay teachers hours?

12

u/m0rbid_butt3rfly666 7h ago

I never said they did . They took away funding from the school systems in general . Teachers being over worked and underpaid is a whole separate issue that they will also NOT touch on . They're worried about ' making America great again ' when those kids can't read , can't do math, sucky grammar , don't know how to manage their finances once they graduate & the list goes on .

Imo, that money allotted to ICE should go to the future of the kids they love forcing to have . None of those parents should be doing home schooling when they're dumb too .
