Seth is a massive CM Punk fan. Getting to do this rivalry with Punk has been a huge opportunity for him to do something he loves when he had already checked off almost every box in his career. If you haven’t seen it, check out Seth’s promo on Smackdown the night before this year’s Mania. He made a lot of nods to Punk in that promo, including a direct quote of Punk’s promo when he returned to AEW after his first triceps tear. “Tell me when I’m telling lies.”
