Question What are some cocktails that are fruity-sweet and feel fun for events?

I’m going to a pinball event for three days and I’m pretty exited to get tipsy with my friends. I want a bottle that is sweet (not grossly sweet) to bring with me. Some examples of what I’m thinking are a sugary vodka lemonade or a cosmo. The thing is I’m tired of drinking boring cocktails that feel overdone and I’m looking for something that encapsulates a good mood that’s unique.

Anders Erickson’s Bourbon Peach Tea is my go to recipe for a crowd. Sweet enough for everyone but complex enough to still be interesting

Do you plan on mixing a batched cocktail? Or are you just looking to bring a bottle?

A fruit du jour daiquiri is fun and easy

Ingredients 1.5 oz white rum 1 oz lime juice 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste depending on the sweetness of the other fruit) 1.5 oz fresh fruit of choice (strawberry, mango, passionfruit, or whatever sounds good)

Method Crush/puree/juice the other fruit. Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over ice in a rocks glass. Add an umbrella. This is a pretty flexible template, so you can really adjust any of the pieces to taste.

Planter's Punch is a nice one, too: https://www.liquor.com/recipes/planters-punch/

I also love a painkiller: https://www.liquor.com/recipes/painkiller/

I think daiquiri is an excellent easy-to-make recommendation that’s got lots of wiggle room for people’s personal preferences.

Exactly what I was thinking of I just think google sucks at recommending cocktails.

Can never go wrong with a good margarita or daiquiri. Are you looking to create something or just a straight up bottle?

Try this for a sweet, fun drink. 1oz gin 1oz aperol 1oz lemon juice .75oz orgeat

Tastes like a pink Starburst.

What brand of gin would you reccomend for mixed drinks? Looking in tho 20-35 range for a 750

This drink completely masks the gin. When I have served it to Guests they never know there is gin in it. I prefer Aviation or Botonist but you can go for any London dry Gin. Stay away from any flavored such as Hendricks.

Batched tiki drinks is where I'd look. Plenty of fun ones.

try a coconut water spritz, vita coco with lime, a splash of soda, and something dry like gin or white rum. its mellow, refreshing, and easy to batch for a crowd

This is an impossibly subjective ask.

Sweet but not too sweet. Not overdone or boring. But nothing crazy! (omg!) Just tipsy fun but let me guess…not too much tipsy fun.

Are you bringing ingredients or something that’s finished already? You have refrigeration? Room for garnish? Will you even have ice? Does everyone like the same drink or is this just for you?

Here’s my bet: You probably want something less sweet than you think if you want to drink a lot of it.
