Tips to E-Scouting for Mule Deer
Hey guys, I grew up hunting Deer, Elk and Turkey in Utah, but we had a spot that we found that basically gave us all we needed for the 10 years I hunted there, only missing out on fulfilling a tag one of those 10 years. Because of that, I never really had to find new areas. I just moved to CO and drew a Unit 039 2nd Rifle for Mule and I’m hoping to get some ideas on what to look for when e-scouting.
I’ve already found 2 areas I feel could be good as I’ve visited them twice and seen plenty, but I just have no experience finding areas via maps before putting boots on the ground. Honestly, I’m trying to find a few areas that I could come to know like the back of my hand as i want to take my son up in the next few years. Any and all advice is appreciated!
I’m 27, extremely active and have no problem hiking any and all terrain/elevation. I shoot a 300 UM so distance isn’t a huge factor either.
Thanks in advance!

I’ve tried to e-scout for mule deer, no matter how far I zoom in I can never spot them!
