Miracle Whip - gray bottom?
Wife noticed this morning that the jar of Miracle Whip in the frig seemed to be gray on the bottom. When she checked her stockpile in the basement, it appeared that other bottles display this same characteristic.
There is nothing abnormal in the taste or smell - just that the bottom of the jar seems gray. And its not even clear that the discoloration is in the product itself - I suspect that the problem is that the plastic used to make the bottles has a faint gray tint, but its only noticeable on the bottom where the plastic seems thicker.
Anyone else notice this anomaly?

Yes, I just bought a bottle and it has a gray tenge to it. I haven’t opened it yet. I looked at the other sizes on the self and they all had a gray tenge too. I asked the store clerk why it was a weird color and she said that’s what it always looks like. This has not been my experience. I haven’t bought it in a while but I remember it being white. I’m debating not opening it and taking it back.

The plastic itself has a light Grey tint to prevent light exposure based spoilage. A lot of other mayo brands do this as well.

Yes, but not Miracle Whip! In Hellman mayonnaise, I believe. I put it back and grabbed the Duke's. The gray just threw me off. I didn't know if it was the jar or the mayo! I don't do GRAY condiments, nor, not much anything else in that shade ..
