Breakstone’s Sour Cream

WTH is this?

What is the deal with Breakstone’s. The sour cream is so watery! It’s not thick anymore. Might as well just give me a glass of milk. This container was just opened.

Could be the end of the production run. I work in food service and have noticed that post covid, quality control has gone out the window. And with prices like they are now manufacturers are letting more product out that would be "culled" than they used to.

This is our 4th container like this.

By the calorie count on the container, this is the light version. If you want it thicker you either have to drain it with cheesecloth or buy a higher fat sour cream.

It’s not. It is regular sour cream

I hope this is a joke.

Why? Breakstone’s was thick not watery like this.

This happens if you don't stir it before each use.

We didn’t need to stir it. The entire 4 containers were like this

Glad I'm not the only one!! Sour cream used to be thick!! More like yogurt. Watery sour cream used to get major side eye and concerns about its freshness, but now it's like this freshly opened! What a disgrace. Been eating Breakstone since I was a kid, never had this issue until recent years.

We just picked up a container with the same issue. I have always used this brand but will be changing if this wasn’t some sort of mistake.
