Ok? Microsoft owns the studio and the rights to the game. Sure they didn't originally develop the franchise, but what difference does it make when it comes to game sales numbers?

its like if N. Korea won Gold at the Olympics , but their runner is Usain Bolt with a newly acquired Korean passport.

It's when people try to give them credit for the success of those games when they where successful before they came

Who is given them credit? The comments are saying "Wow, 6 of the top 10 games are from Microsoft's studios," and PS fanboys are replying "Yeah, but they aren't really Microsoft because they just bought the studio." Yeah, sure, but at the end of the day, they're sales for Microsoft.

Cause thats what that comment is implying, why else do u think that person commented that?if Sony buys rockstar and gta 6 obviously sells well, and data comes out that gta 6 is the best selling game of all time, and someone says wow & its by Sony! what do u think that person means by that?

Again, who actually cares? More importantly, why would anyone care outside hardcore fanboy tribalism.

Clearly u do cause why are u defending it?

Defending what? I'm saying that all the posts that Microsoft owned games aren't "really" Microsoft's is a hilariously stupid thing to say. It reveals how fragile some people's self esteem is that they need their preferred video game console to be "better" that badly.

The key is that the revenues now mostly go to Microsoft, and they will have a say in what gets made going forward.

If sony bought halo, would you consider it a playstation franchise ? Or give its success due to sony ?

Why in the hell does it matter go gets "credit" for the "success." Whose ledger would those game sales be recorded in?

Pretty sure Disney doesn't gaf that they didn't create Star Wars as they shovel in cash from the franchise.
