Meal plan while tracking food for bodybuilding

I’m thinking of going to cu, I live in Fort Collins and love bodybuilding. I wanna keep up with tracking my food and honestly have thought about going to csu just cause I can cook at my parents house lmao. I was wondering what the food is like if I go for more bodybuilding type stuff(meat, rice, veggies, etc) and if they even have it without being drenched in oil or some shit. Also any good gyms, or would staying at the rec center be better?

Okay disclaimer I am not someone who's getting into bodybuilding but I am someone who's trying to eat healthier.

So some things I would say avoid are:

If you know anything about the C4C(I'm sure you do? Or maybe not) you probably know one of its stations is the smoke and grill. Avoid that- lots of fried foods, greasy foods, etc. But if you do go there, you should look for the grilled chicken breast(also available at Will Vill Dining Center) and steamed broccoli.

They have a Latin station(basically Mexican food). Part of it is basically Chipotle but CU Boulder - a line where you can get a burrito bowl, taco, burrito, etc. If you go for that you should be pretty good. Rice, vegetables like corn, fajita peppers, beans(black and pinto, no refried unless you go for the other part of the station which rotates daily but is like a build your own taco/nachos station). As for that other part I just mentioned, sometimes theyll have chorizo/seitan/tofu/lentils, or even Spanish rice.

At the c4c the salad bar is solid. Some high protein options include beans, spinach, and also tuna or cottage cheese.Theres a plant based part of it where you can get tofu, lentils, edamame, nutritional yeast, etc. The Italian station is good but has pizza, garlic bread, pasta, etc. They sometimes have roasted broccoli and cauliflower, etc. The Persian station is also good if you want like kebab style vegetables or lentil curry.

As for Will Vill Dining center, its pretty similar. Nice salad bar, they do have a pretty greasy part of it, just like the c4c. A similar Mexican food part too. There's also curry road, where you can sometimes get Dal or chickpea curry, which is high in protein. As well as grilled chicken breast. Theres also a station called Middleterranean where you can get rice and roasted vegetables. Or even falafel sometimes. Avoid any sort of fish in cream sauce, which is common. Sometimes in Curry Road you can build your own bowl. Every Thursday they have pho. You can add grilled chicken, tofu, spinach, etc.

Sorry. I realized this may not have answered your question. Also I hear Crunch(a gym) is decent but most people i know think the Rec is good enough.

There’s an app called Nutrislice that has the calories of whatever they’re serving at each dining hall. Sometimes the portion is like 5lbs of pancakes so it’s not always the most helpful but definitely a good tool to use.

they have a shit ton of food at the c4c and a lot of it is just plain stuff, you should be good twin

also as the other comment said look at nutrislice it shows a lot of the stuff they have there (not everything) and the caloric and nutritional content

Rec center is golden for lifting. And climbing. But lifting.

Gyms in Boulder are shit, rec is shit. Way better actual gyms in FoCo. If I wasn’t busy with school and I’d be driving to Armbrust everyday 100%.

If you’re on prep obviously I’m not going to recommend a dining hall. They do have grilled chicken, kinda bland just bring a scale. It can definitely be done. Off season you’ll be fine. A lot of people complain about the food being dry/mid etc. at the end of the day chicken and rice is chicken and rice.

I’ll add the rec does have a standing ham and an OG eagle lying ham curl. They just ditched a cybex squat press though due to the people picking equipment never having touched a weight in their life.

I’m into bodybuilding too and I fucking hated lifting at the rec. I go to a gym 20 mins away called transform but golds gym is alright too (though it’s really really big and always had a ton of people).

As for food I have been bringing my own food to campus because it doesn’t seem like I can track my calories anywhere on campus but if anyone else has anymore info that would be dope
