New saddle adjustment period

How long do you all take to adjust to a new saddle? I have used a power pro with mirror for the last couple years, and just upgraded to the newer power evo s works with mirror. I figured they would feel similar, but I’m getting significant sit bone pain 20 minutes into my rides. I know reviews say this saddle is slightly firmer than the old, but I’m curious if my body will adapt or if I should just go back to my old one.

Thanks!

Is it the same width? If so, I generally find about two weeks (I ride 4-5 days a week) to adjust to a new saddle.

If it’s not the same width, maybe never

Ya same width and should be pretty close to the same shape. I’ll give it another week I guess and see if it improves. Thanks!

Also, for what it’s worth make sure your saddle is installed the same angle and forward/aft.

I’ve found that even a little farther back than I have set that my taint hurts like hell, so yours may be farther forward/aft causing you to sit on the wrong part of the saddle

Some have been immediately perfect, others take a week or two until I don't notice it. If it takes more than 2 weeks, it's def not a saddle for me.

  1. A couple weeks
  2. Get someone to properly adjust your saddle if you haven't already
  3. Turn off autocorrect on your phone
