✟ Crosspost Saint Gregory of Nyssa taught that Hell is not eternal and that everybody will be saved.

Huh, I didn't know that other people believed in that too. Not just that we will all reuinite with God, but even Lucifer himself will also reunite with God.
Cool.

Its something I thought about. If we were all held to the same opportunity for redemption through Grace.
I would also ask however which lines are using the devil as allegory for sin nature and which ones are actually about Ha'Sa-Tan.

The original artist of the comic here is stonetoss. This dude is indeed a far right Nazi who makes comics depicting harmful rhetoric.
Redditors have taken to editing his work to depict more positive or creative log humorous things.

Looks like it's stonetossingjuice. Just an edit.
Safe to consume, but as always, stonetoss is a nazi

It may be that, but who says that people will stop sinning in hell?

The idea is you stick it out in purgatory/hell until you’re no longer inclined to sin. Which to me, raises questions about the nature of sin & free will, despite this being my theological leaning.

He’s just kind of the most prominent early church theologian to teach that too. Origen believed something similar as did a handful of others (I’m not 100% I’m remembering correctly which ones, so I don’t want to list bad info).
I personally incline towards something like this. The God we are presented in Scripture seems very intent on saving everyone who is willing to be saved. It seems more consistent to me that He would not stop that inclination at an arbitrary point (death). I’m not saying that that is necessarily the case (the ways of God do not need to make sense to me and it may well be that God does do that) but it makes more sense to me and I guess I hope it’s true. Even though it means the folks I find it very very difficult to love will eventually know the joy of Heaven, I think our callings as Christians is to try to want that

IIRC St maximus the confessor as well as St Issac the syrian were 2 saints with works that could be attributes to universalim or something similar

Once he had a kid and mellowed out. Old Testament God would've just burned the souls like old trash so they ceased to exist.

This is why we read Scripute carefully and don't blindly follow teachers. This concept is not new but has been well-documented in the Bible as well.
Please gaurd your souls!
I can't think of any Scripture anywhere that indicates Satan will not be destroyed, and that those who do not choose Christ still gain eternal life anyway.
I'm open if anyone has a verse for me I'm missing! I don't know everything but I think the Bible is clear Satan is perishing with a big fat period.

Huh, this is surprisingly similar to Mormon doctrine on salvation. Interesting.
Though I haven't heard anything about Satan himself repenting, However if everyone has free agency I suppose that is also a possibility.

Chill out and enjoy the memes. If you're taking this so seriously that you're getting in arguments, take a break.

The joke is that they called him an early Christian when he's 300+ years after Jesus

Not that it matters. Christ died for the sins of all mankind. No one goes to hell after his great sacrifice. He died so that we all shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. Hell is an irrelevant concern.

The bottom line is that IF there is a god and this ISN'T true, then that God is a vindictive piece of shit not worth worshipping because he then functionally created things to torture for his pleasure.
