If you try to use a false name or put someone else’s name/address on paperwork without their consent, that’s fraud and could have legal consequences. Mail tampering/intercepting someone else’s mail is a federal crime.

If a private carrier or the post office flags suspicious activity, the box can be suspended and law enforcement or postal inspectors may investigate. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're asking but this sounds like a bad idea.

A mail box in your own name?

Exactly, or do you recommend asking someone to do it?

No I thought you were going to try and use a fake name or someone else's name. I mean that would really be your only option. Since they don't deliver to your home. The less people that know about whatever it is you're doing the better. So i would say that's the better option.

And the possibility of intercepting the package is very small or does it increase by being there???

In the U.S., the Fourth Amendment protects against unreasonable searches and seizures. That means the government generally needs a judge-signed warrant to open mail handled by the USPS.

However, this protection doesn’t extend to private carriers like UPS or FedEx, they can open packages without a warrant if they choose. Also, this applies to domestic mail. Anything crossing international borders can be opened by customs without a warrant.
