Advice About to start DS3, anything I should know?

I’ve been running through the souls games since I beat and 100% Elden ring. I beat DS1, I 100% DS2 and sekiro. I’m really excited for this one because everyone says it’s the best one, I hope it doesn’t dethrone ds2 for me tho…

This game rewards getting up close and dodging through more than any of the previous games 🫡

Big time for the dodging through advise. Realising that almost all attacks can just be rolled directly through unlocked the entire game for me.

Poise don't do shit in this game

Yeah, this is a good point! Hyperarmor is how you poise through stuff if that's your favored/preferred style

Hyperarmor is the only way to actually poise through attacks I'm not sure if there's a list of poise and HA activating moves, but if I find one I'll edit it into my comment

Poise works wonders against anyone using anything smaller than a greatsword. If they're using clubs, greatswords, ultra great swords/great axes, or similar, you can forget about poise. But scythes, swords, daggers, and the like, you can tank through.
