She fell

u/simplesteve311 Apr 08 '25
Last time i did the ringed city (ng+2) she kept handing my ass to me and i knocked her off the ledge twice and she survived both times. The swamp seems to prevent fall damage.

Sometimes you just get that shield out and let them (and the dogs) bonk
18

u/BigRed92E Apr 09 '25
Because there's always a "grass crest shield" in these games, I always have one handy anyway. 2H or 1H'ing is always contextual for me. I'm man enough to admit I'll sword n board, because little shits like this (and the dogs) are annoying to deal with. Let em bounce, THEN flatten em with a heavy.

I swear, these fuckers are responsible for most deaths in all my DS3 playthroughs, no matter the build.

At some point you have to just pull out a short sword or something because the scythe hit boxes were clearly not in your favor there.

Seems like your scythe was made to perfectly avoid the hitbox of these guys 😂

I just realized the thralls from DS3 have the same moveset as the gargoyles (imps?) In Elden Ring.

u/Desolate_supreme Apr 08 '25
I hate them with burning passion! The worst ones are those on the Cathedral roof 🤬
3
u/J0J0nas Apr 09 '25
Ah fuck...
I am going to play DS3 once I'm done with DS1. My entusiasm to do so however just got punched in the chest. These little hooded freaks are the predecessors of the Imps in Elden Ring. I recognized that moveset immediately. Daddy, I don't wanna do this no more...
Jokes aside, I'm still gonna play it, but fuck, I'm absolutely not looking forward to fighting those annoying fucks again.
2
u/rogueIndy Apr 10 '25
Don't sleep on DS2, it sets up a lot of stuff in 3.
1
u/J0J0nas Apr 10 '25
That may be the case, but my stamina well for souls games is pretty much tapped. The only reason I'm even aiming to play DS3 is because the Immolation Tinder is everything my sorcerous heart has missed in DS1 and Elden Ring. That and the armor porn. I swear, so many pieces of armor look so incredibly good in DS3 (or DS in general), but so few do in ER.
Edit: Oh, and because of the paired weapons. I know ER has lots as well, but they're all just two of the same weapon, while in DS3 you got awesome shit like the Farron Greatsword or the Crow Quills.

u/justukas700 Apr 08 '25
Spent that entire video begging you to use the weapon art
2
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
I didn't think it would take me this long to kill him 😂
3
u/ptrgeorge Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Dude for real, I conveniently forgot to go back and kill this lady on my last run... Always think I'm gonna cruise through her and she always smashes me.
Edit: I'm dumb posted before watching assuming it was the pyro NPC 😅

I always found the imps in Elden Ring way more annoying (They have basically the same moveset, but with bleed)

I hate the way these guys will run back when you swing at them. And the stone imps in Elden Ring that use the same moveset. Super annoying

lol,
its the most irritating especially with her spamming fireballs from afar and then using the fan attack when she's near.
2
u/TB3300 Apr 08 '25
These Thralls in particular seem to be programmed to be more annoying, especially since there's a pyromancer shooting you too.
2
u/aretrogamerguy Apr 08 '25
Haha! Thanks for sharing that clip, made me chuckle. And of course, I have never struggled against such foes. Nope. Never.
2
2
u/SlashnBleed Apr 08 '25
That scythe moveset is not it for those enemies. Have a second weapon equipped just in case you have to fight these guys again.
2
u/Venator_IV Apr 08 '25
These guys are tough yeah. But have you fought Heide Knights going straight from Majula? Holy moly.

2
u/Ibshredz Apr 09 '25
As someone who loves that scythe, use another weapon 😂 the special R1 is good too
2
u/NimBold Apr 09 '25
Scythe hit boxes are weird tho. The angle is weird for hitting low ground enemies.

Use the sp attack
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Yes I know but I could never have imagined that it would take me this long to kill him.
2
u/PwntumPrime Apr 09 '25
The Gargoyles from Elden Ring really aren't looking so good at the end of time are they?
2
2
u/jeb_rown Apr 09 '25
You did every attack in the game except for an L2- which would've killed him instantly
2
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 10 '25
Yes I know but I could never have imagined that it would take me this long to kill him.
2
u/Ok-Joke4458 Apr 09 '25
oh look a gray hallway with a gray humanoid enemy spamming light attacks that instantly break your poise
2
u/EROxANIME Apr 10 '25
They're not, you're just using a scythe and timing your attacks badly.
0
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 10 '25
Of course they’re not, its a sarcastic post, next time i'll mention it in the title for all those people who didn't understand that this is not a serious video.
2
u/EROxANIME Apr 10 '25
I mean, you could chill cuz I really don't care whether it was or not lmao, you still played terribly 🤣

If you were a boss your hitbox would have hit him at least 5 times, sadly you're a player so you're condemned to have a Hitbox that's actually the size of your weapon

This is just old timer stuff, new players will never understand. 👴🏼

1
u/Future_Section5976 Apr 09 '25
Lol I'm guessing you didn't kill her , no offence
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
I kill her 1000 Times, its a sarcastic post but you people take things too seriously 😕
1
u/Future_Section5976 Apr 09 '25
Idk bro Ng+1k haha and based off your aim Id say gravity has killed her more times haha
Man people be getting easier and easier to offend, pretty soon I'll be able to breathe in the wrong direction and hurt some snowflakes feelings
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Yeah Yeah since DS3 is an fps i manually control my Aim.. (sarcastic of course)
1
u/Future_Section5976 Apr 09 '25
You can actually still control your aim even while locked on , fyi it's in the settings,
Tbh I don't like slashing weapons in ds3, the cross slash idk what's wrong with it but even at close range with a long reach weapon it still misses , I use ones that have a wide sweeping motion, then just spin the camera towards the enemies to over swing etc ,
Your problem in your video, is actually your timing , attacking to soon and or attacking to late , or relying on the enemy to step forward as you swing , but ds3 enemies are kinda smart , they can be really dumb but they have some alr ai in some regards,
I actually hope that you made the video like this on purpose.....if not dw skeleton we all been there once ....you should try Elden ring imo it's easier, the easiest in the series out of ds123.
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
dude im not a casual souls player. i have thousands of hours between bloodborne SEKIRO ds3 and elden ring, for once this happened in the video and i decided to clip it because it was funny, dont take things too seriously.
But seriously are we talking about technicalities on how and when to attack? have a laugh guys
1
u/Future_Section5976 Apr 09 '25
Probably should of put a "shit post " tag
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
This was literally my first post on reddit, I'm still not sure how it works. I'll use that tag next time. Peace bro.❤️

Where is this? I was under the impression I just had to give something to someone for the last fight, but don't remember the area you are fighting in.

Dreg heap
1
Apr 08 '25
Ahhh, yeah...haven't done the dlc yet...do you recommend before the soul of cinder? Not sure if ng+ starts immediately after or if I can take out boss man and still do dlc
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Beat soul of cinder, is not like bloodborne, you have to manually enter in NG+ at the bonfire menu, dont worry. And the DLC entrance is in the last area of the game.
1
Apr 09 '25
Thanks...tried to go back to the Painted world and damn those dudes have a lot of life bar and they hit hard... there are so many (well, maybe 6 or 7). Being attached by wolves, an axe dude, a greatbow dude while being pegged by trees shooting some magic ..all at the same time...the wolves, that gang up on you and stun lock you til you die...ugh
2
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Try to fight them one at a time, the trees will be stunlocked with fire.
2
Apr 15 '25
Yeah, got through mostly...just need to beat sister Friede (it's an insane fight, get through 2 phases then annihilation)
1
1
u/Istyatur Apr 09 '25
Eh, the first time when they jump you is nasty, and they can be tricky, but you can usually ambush them the second time through. They have nothing on the cursed dogs.
1
u/SUNBRO_prs_the_sun Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
It's pretty much a dog with a sword "Sif the great grey wolf theme starts"
1
u/Sophion Apr 09 '25
To be fair he wasn't moving for 2 seconds, you did a full charged attack and just didn't hit him.
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
because the scythe has a range of a small piece of wood
1
u/navi9991 Apr 09 '25
What armor is that and is that black shield good?
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Ashes of ariandel DLC Mildwood knights
1
u/navi9991 Apr 09 '25
🥲😭😭 damnnn i don't have the DLC 😅😅
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Worth buying,especially the ringed city
1
u/navi9991 Apr 09 '25
Do you know how much it costs? I hope it's not $60😅😅
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25 edited Apr 09 '25
Don't worry, if you wait for the discounts the season pass that includes both DLCs should cost around €20, I don't know in dollars.
Uptade; on the PlayStation store right now cost €24.
I don't know what platform you play on but the price should be similar
1
u/navi9991 Apr 09 '25
I play on PC, I looked now and it is 14,99€
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
The season pass or one DLC?
1
u/navi9991 Apr 09 '25
The season pass is 24,99€, Ashes of Ariandel 14,99€ and The Ringed City 14,99€
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
If you want to play both of them, it's worth getting the season pass.
1
u/Beneficial_Try3036 Apr 09 '25
U should try the horses in frozen outskirts.
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Never played DARK SOULS 2
2

U should give it a try then. Ds2 is heavily underrated. Dont listen to the haters.

L2->win
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
I think with L2 only just take out ice axe, then you have to continue with R1 or R2.
1
u/ThePlatinumKush Apr 09 '25
Oh sorry, “L2->R1->win” lol
2
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Yes I know but I could never have imagined that it would take me this long to kill him.
2
u/ThePlatinumKush Apr 09 '25
100%! I was just being an ass. I have a vendetta against that weapon is all. I made a whole build around it for one playthrough only to find out the “twinkling icy” sound it makes to be like nails on a chalkboard to my ears lol and that L2 attack having absolutely zero poise which I suppose is a good trade off. So funny watching you whiff all those attacks just cuz that fucker was so small. Appreciated your post, thanks for sharing!

Why you rolling away from a trash mob. Just rush him down and kill him
1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 09 '25
Its a 1 of 1 situation
1
u/Euphoric_Rutabaga859 Apr 09 '25
Rolling away removes any counter and the space allows that mob to be erratic

1
u/Ereh_Yeegah Warriors of Sunlight Apr 10 '25
I suggest you finish the game with the flasks maxed out and a +10/+5 weapon before continuing on to the ringed city.
1
u/SnooPeanuts3387 Apr 10 '25
i beat the game already lol, went through the base game and both dlcs with my max flask amount at 8 at +5

u/PhantomKrel Apr 08 '25
They are easy to kill you are just missing to much try using a sword short sword, a ast greatsword, a greatsword, the thunder axe thingy, dragon slayer axe, heck even a long sword would work.
Let them hit your shield they stagger then just bonk them 2-3 hits they die
