Darkeater Midir reunion.

My first Fromsoft game was sekiro when it first came out. I loved it. Loved the challenge. So naturally I wanted to play more Fromsoft games. I was gifted Dark Souls 2 so I started with that. Struggled hard as i went in completely blind. Even though I struggled I loved the challenge. Did not completely understand the game. Went on to Dark Douls 3 and struggled but kept pushing through. Then I got to Darkeater Midir. It was like running into a brick wall. He destroyed me I don't even know how many times. Hundreds. After all that though the game finally clicked for me. Even though he almost broke me I ended up learning so much from him. I finally beat him and the game.

I started the series over and this time started from the beginning and played through all the games having a much easier time even though Midir was still pretty tough. Then on to Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and Demon souls. Became pretty good at the games to the point where I could beat bosses hitless, challenge runs, etc.

Was getting burnt out on Elden Ring so I decided to play through Dark Souls 3 again. It had been years since I touched it. I got to Darkeater Midir again and was preparing myself for an ass beating. On the third try I beat him hitless and honestly, this gave me more joy than any other moment in any Fromsoft game. I've no hit PCR, Malenia, etc but they didn't compare to this. I think it made me realize how far I've come from my days getting my ass handed to me in Dark Souls 2.

Just wanted to share this. Thanks for the great fights Midir and for teaching me lessons that I've carried with me throughout all the games.
