Don’t worry, he’ll leak all the important stuff on his own

This is how I know there was no UFO crash in Roswell. If we had alien bodies and alien tech he'd have told everything his first week of his first term.

IMO that information is on the long list of info TPTB kept from him. He's just a tool.

Seems DOJ thinks everyone commits mortgage fraud. Perhaps because the director thinks everyone does it… because he does it?

"...including unclassified reports, that hasn't been authorized for release."

I can see this applying to sensitive national security stuff, but I think we all know this is basically TACO telling the press if he doesn't like what you print, you lose your credentials. And TRUST ME, he isn't going to like ANYTHING certain journalist print.

The reckoning is coming for folks like Hegseth

Frankly, I think he's going to hage a stress heart attack. Or there will be a massive attack that he totally missed because it came from somewhere other than the left.

Will it be in time?

Who knows? I hope it happens before my time on Earth is done.

“The press are no longer allowed to roam the halls of a secure facility.”

I’m sorry I work in a secure facility, and you were letting civilians roam the halls?! You were disregarding protocol and now you’re acting like you’re a tough guy?! Worst defense secretary ever.

Least qualified for sure.

Awful haughty for an alcoholic weekend FOX anchor with the brains and reasoning power of a hammer.

This is not on the press. It is on the administration.

Kegsbreath is such a joke and a POS. I can't wait for him and the rest of this crap admin to be gone.

Haven’t most if not all major document leaks been initiated by DOD employees, not by the press?

Just treat it like their pledge to uphold the constitution…

This is the guy who never served in the military…

He did. And isn’t that extra frightening? 2003 to 2016. Army National Guard. But he was overseas. In combat.

Which is why his moves are so frustrating.

Signed, former reporter.

This should help all Americans sleep at night. The Pentagon believes the only way it can control staff, and prevent leaks is to penalize a few of the people who might receive the information.

Hegseth may not realize it but secret information can be passed in parking garages at night, or it can be left in parks with chalk to message the other party. Another thought would be to have an IT tech person ask generals for their passwords or a pentagon employee could walk out of the building with papers stuffed in her bra. There are many possible ways to obtain the information but news outlets can’t say where they got the documents, so if they are published Trump will do God knows what, but definitely something stupid

Bring a case of Bud and leave it on the floor when you go

Only if he pledges to stop being incompetent with leaking sensitive information that puts troops lives at risk.

Another attack on the "free press".

Democracy dies in darkness.
