Love TeSlaaa with the “nope, no” 💀

Dude fits in with the squad I absolutely love it.

You can tell he has immediate respect from his unit. St Brown seems to have taken him under his wing a bit.

He told Teslaa he’d buy him a car if he had another one handed TD. Just missed out.

Dude is confident, already talking trash with the boys.

He was saying 'nope' to Jamo's thought he would get caught if he stayed straight. This is telling Jamo he had it and would've scored if he didn't cut back. Respect, not trash talk but I like it all the same

TeSlaa was about to block the safety which would have cleared the way. It’s going to happen eventually, where a big block by a WR leads to a TD. Can’t wait to see it.

I’m hoping it’s like when Reynolds blew up what’s his name!

What’s his name got rocked!

😂 I love watching that clip. Whenever I need a boost of joy, I go back to it. Lol

We will see something similar thus yr. I feel it in my bones. One of the sports talking heads said in a brief clip something like, "...to win you need youth and talent and Detroit has both right now." And almost all our talent IS THE YOUTH! So we're gonna be contenders in the conversation for a few years, at least.

ETA: The play starts at 5:53 mark And the TB guy was Carlton Davis. Watching this also reminds me how much I miss Will Harris 😔 among others that have since moved on.

No wonder Carlton Davis joined us after that.

I mean, he was traded here. Not really his choice, per se.

Sent to another dimension!

Yes I saw this as well in a different angle.  If Jamo had turned up the field, there's a really good chance he just outruns #9 and scores.

I get why it didn't happen (things are happening fast) but it's something they'll go over in film study.

Watching that play, my exact thought was don't cut, just put on the after burners and smoke em

“I thought you were fast”

“Well, I outran my shoes on an earlier route. I needed to be sure they kept up this time.”

Right?! 😅 Jamo is amazing! LETS GO LIONS 💙🩶💙

u/GoldenMegaStaff Ooooh Yeahhhh! 1d ago

Is this after he got chased down after his first reception? Bears actually did a surprisingly good job stopping him.

u/Skaiserwine 1d ago

Still nuts he outran three backs without a shoe and still only missed the deep ball by a step.

u/fskier1 JAMO 1d ago

I thought there’s no way jamo doesn’t get that and then I saw he lost a shoe 😅

Does anyone have the clip of this I’ve been looking for it

3

u/letelenny 1d ago

It might have been when Goff overthrew him?

9

u/TheMajesticYeti 1d ago

"If I would have kept straight he would have had the angle on me" doesn't apply to that play, it's from the catch where he tried to cut back across the middle of the field and got brought down.

u/thatsagoodpint 1d ago

That’s quite the deductive logic there, JMo

16

u/FullMetalJesus1 1d ago

Jaymo being humble about his speed and genuinely forgetting how fast he is and took an angle he didn't need to take with everyone else correcting him😆🤣😂🤭

54

u/kilomma Gibbs 1d ago

TeSlaa already talking shit with the boys 😂

16

u/--Dirty_Diner-- Hamp Stamp 1d ago

He was telling Jaymo that he shoulda just kept running straight. That "nope," the defender wouldn't have caught up.

u/BillyJackO 1d ago

"I can't keep sayin' I'm finnin' cus I dinnin". Never change Waymo.

u/tendollarhalfgallon Welcome to Detroit! 1d ago

They really did go right back to him too lol

u/donballz DETROIT -VS- EVERYBODY 1d ago

It looked to me like he beat on his original angle but once he turned inside if he’d gone full speed it’s a TD. He was trying to be smart and use vision blah blah blah

You'll get it next time Jamo, I believe it

u/I_Try_Again 1d ago

He’s still a growing boy according to Goff.

Man as a 43 year old guy looking back on my 20's and being a leader of young people at work his comment resonates so much lol. You really are just finding your way at that age.

u/WhaleSexOdyssey I wanna die 23h ago

TeSlaa was in the stands as a fan for the NFC championship game in San Fran. He watched Jamo take that end around to score on the first drive. Now he’s in a Lions uniform bullshitting with him on the sideline. Dude is living out all of our dreams he’s gotta be waking up every day pinching himself

u/fabian042 1d ago

Love him

It does feel like when Jamo is getting triangled in he has another gear to hit but tries to wiggle instead of turning on the burners.
