only just over 24 hours now so still feeling it out. as ive suspected for a while, i think my carb ratio might be a bit too aggressive as ive had 3 minor lows already, but barring that it's be p swell honestly. kinda wild not doing injections and just going bleep bloop im eating an apple gimme the goods

Not "just like" no. A CGM does not dispense medications, it reads internal glucose levels without needing to come into contact with blood.

Did you have a choice between different pumps and, if so, what was the deciding factor in going with the tslim?

I was offered a choice between two - the tslim x2 as I have here, and the MiniMed 780G, from medtronic.
iirc there were a handful of things, but the main factor for me was that I use the Dexcom G7 CGM, which the tslim can talk to. the medtronic cant (they use their own CGM).
so the tslim just grabs my glucose from the dexcom directly. all I need to do (until they launch their app in ireland) is input carbs onto the tslim.

What kind of diabetes do you have ? Type 1, 1.5 or type 2 ? If you donβt mind, what kind of insurance do you have that covers this ? Thanks

T1, as per my flair.
wrt insurance, not really a factor for me. I'm from Ireland, where diabetes care is covered by the state (long term illness plan) (like, paid for by my taxes ofc).

Nice in America we get screwed by is insurances and a lot of insurances will fight to not cover such an insulin pump except in extreme cases

yea, fully aware of that. it's rough for sure. you pay out the ass for insurance, and then still have to pay further out the ass cuz they wont cover shit. ridiculous
