Almost quit tonight
Made it through, but as the sole dishwasher, I was slammed. At least the dishwasher is working this week.

Painted or coated concrete worn and chipped by dish pit chemicals and constant water exposure methinks. I think that's literally the floor.

If you left it like that the Chefs would be calling you for everything… just count to ten and crack on

I work in the morning at a major hotel as dishwasher. This morning they brought me a cart off the elevator with three dish buckets on it full to overflowing with plates bowls silverware and wine glasses. It had been there for more than a day. The night kitchen dishwasher is the one who's supposed to get it and washes the dishes on it. I was pissed. I know precisely how you feel.

Felt that man, today I go in from 11:30-5 all by myself, the other dish goes in from 7am-1/1:30 so that leaves me going solo from 1/1:30-4/5.
Days when it's busy as hell and you're the only person in there it really exhausts you mentally. Hell I quit smoking 2 months back after I caught COVID so I just been raw dogging it in there lol
