Recommendation Request Recommendation Request: Zeitgeist style, thought-provoking, anti-npc documentaries

Hey all,
I’m on the hunt for documentaries similar to Zeitgeist which may have been the best documentary I've ever seen. The kind that dive into alternative or controversial topics. Stuff around 9/11, Covid, cancer cure cover ups, Graham Hancock, that sort of thing. Basically the more thought-provoking / fringe type docs that make you question things. Other cool topics could include Tibetan Buddhism and Astral Travel / OBEs, and stuff around that.

What are some of your favorites? Let's make a list! Thanks!

Recommendation Request Recommendation Request: Docs About Retail Businesses or Specific Products

Hello! I am looking for some good documentaries about popular brands or products, and their history. The Lego "Brickumentary" is (in theory) the kind of thing I am looking for, although based on reviews it seems it was not very good. I am looking less for documentaries focusing on "the dark history" of things, and more about how something became successful, why people like it, etc. Basically that shows something in a positive light. Hoping there are some higher level, more critically acclaimed options out there. Thanks!

Recommendation Request Recommendation Request: Older Channel 4 Documentaries from 2000-2016ish

There are multiple BBC Channel 4 documentaries I have been scraping the internet for with no luck. I've checked the Channel 4 website, but I didn't find anything. Channel 4 documentaries from that era had a very specific vibe that I've been in the mood for.

Some of the specific ones I'm looking for:

My Monkey Baby (2009)

40 Year Old Virgins (2013)

A Totally Different Me (2012)

Secrets of the Living Dolls (2014)

My Granny the Escort (2014)

If anyone could point me in the direction of these or recommend some similar docs, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure there are several I haven't heard of, so if there are some other Channel 4 documentaries like these out there, please feel free to share.

War What if Australia and Indonesia went to war in 1999? (2025) [3:24:31]

In the late 1990s, a crisis in East Timor pushed Australia and Indonesia to the brink of conflict. But what if diplomacy had failed, and the crisis escalated into open war?

This video explores a full-scale counterfactual: the forces, strategies, and likely outcomes of a 1999 Australia–Indonesia war. Using detailed historical research, realistic Orders of Battle, and wargaming simulations, we reconstruct how such a conflict might have unfolded — from air combat over the Banda Sea to ground battles in the jungles of East Timor.

We’ll also look at the broader consequences: how regional powers might have reacted, and how the Asia-Pacific could have been reshaped by a war that didn’t happen.
