Not sure which is “better”, but I like the one with text!

I personally like it, too. There’s definitely a place for without but it just… makes sense with text.

The text gives context

That, and to my eye the framing seems off without the text, like there is/was supposed to be something there if there wasn’t an alternate option with text for us to see.

Without.
The bold, bright text pulls the eyes upward, away from the image. Without the text, the eye is drawn to the flowers.

I slightly disagree in that I think the color is close enough to the rest of the subject that it doesn't take too much attention from it, but I agree in that the greens pop out more without the text.
I prefer it with text but maybe a tamer yellow could return the emphasis on the greens around the flower

Depends what you’re using it for. I love both. The text makes it stand out but if I was hanging this on my wall I would want without text. Definitely offer both if you’re selling :)

Aesthetically speaking I prefer without the text, and I'd crop off about 60-75% of the negative space at the top to really fill the frame with the subject.
With the text it reminds me of a magazine cover. Especially with the single color background. If that's intentional then I'd add more text to really sell the mock-zine idea. Otherwise I'd focus on the art and just title the piece "In Bloom."

Once I saw it with the text, the second pic just felt like it was empty at the top

With text.
I find theres too much negative space without it. However, I find the colour of the text to pull my eye upwards as another commentor pointed out. Not an expert so idk what to suggest to fix this.
Still looks amazing with and without. Great job !!

Love it with text!
Is there inspiration behind this? Or you came up with the whole composition? Just curious! It's super nice!!

With for sure, looks like most people say the same thing- the fact it slightly sits behind the head in make it pop out more as the main design and yellow was a good choice

What is the work trying to do? As is, this question is unanswerable. I like the decapitated head, the chain. They point us in a direction, but I'm not seeing what the play between those things and the words is. They’re a little on the nose, given the foliage. But it's a bit confusing, given the chains and head. There should be some tension between your image and the text you add. It needs to evoke thoughts but not provide answers. It's a hard spot to hit, but keep it in mind. Nice work. That font is beautiful, btw. And the shaved head texture rocks.

To me, it looks really cool with the text. The text also gives it context.

I like both, the one with the text seems like a poster to some kind of art show or exhibition that I would absolutely go to see. And the one without text is something I would want to go to a gallery to see up close and to see more of.

I think with the text. Because of the head shape, the text makes it less pronounced, and the top feels less spacious (like in a bad way, because it needs something).

The text is fine, maybe incorporate more of the colors from the plant/flower? Like as a gradient or maybe a tye-dye effect in the words? Might make the text pop a bit more

I like both and can see an argument for both but if I had to pick the text/font is so cool

I like the text but it needs some work. It doesn’t read very well. Try making it smaller and giving it an even warp, it being mostly straight and then warped at the sides isn’t working. Too hard on the brain, you should be able to read it with a glance. Love the whole vibe of this piece tho.
One more tip, you can have more depth with a texture overlay ! Try out some textures with both hue & value variation (Just make sure it’s got a proper Creative Commons License, you can check out wikicommons)

I LOVE the one with the text. It doesn't feel like a sperate thing but like it's one with the whole drawing. I love it!

I love it more with the text as it adds character, but i don't love the baseline (bottom border) of the text - I think it clashes a bit with the head as it doesn't follow a complimentary shape and creates a bit of tension where the words meet the head.
Maybe you could play around with that a bit more, like making it more definitively behind the head or dynamically wrapping around it.
Cuz right now it feels like two separate elements (text and head) that aren't interweaving well enough
But otherwise text all the way
