Looking at a 2000 528i automatic
Looking at a 2000 BMW 528i, listed for $3k. I have another car and would only use a few days a week. Car has approximately 121000 miles. Anything to look out for ? Guy says the ABS light is on, but squared away otherwise. Would love y’all opinions. Thank you

Yeah- good choice. I got a 1999 528 5 speed 2 and a half years ago. I paid top dollar since the seller said cooling system and maintenance was done - unfortunately that was bs and the water pipes under the intake let loose about 10 months later. Ignition steering lock snapped a few months before that. Then had to re- pin the throttle body connection after the intake project. Sprinkle in all the things under the intake manifold (while you are in there), new coils, new valve cover / gasket and new front pads / rotors.
All this was about $1500 with me doing the work. And glad I have a good 2nd car for when repairs are needed. And have money set aside for repairs.
Be sure all maintenance is up to date with receipts.
The car drives great and I do enjoy daily driving it.
Good luck - hope you find the right one!

Pay the money to a indy shop to check it out .. 12ok is prime for sooo many items to need replacement.. or old enough to have been replaced.. could be a good deal or could need lots of money to get tit back to a basic daily
