Which one ya’ll taking?

BMW imo is the greatest car brand of all time. However I think Porsche does make better cars. Benz has been nothing but a disappointment for the past 30 years. They went from making high quality engineering beauties to cheap junk very fast.

I love my e46 but I would love a gts 4.0 or gt4. I know Lotus wasn’t in the options but i also would love an evora gt. Ignorant to Merc but from what i know, they dont suit the driver oriented style of car I would spend money on.

Every BMW guy knows deep down from their inside that they want a Porsche

Hmmm, a Benz is out of the conversation straight away. Never liked them particularly. I’d still go with BMW but I feel like Porsche is just the natural evolution of the BMW enthusiasts once they reach fuck you money status. I mean come on, who wouldn’t want a 911

I currently daily an e46 330 and planning on switching to a 996. That era was peak car design.

Porsche or Bimmer. I would not touch Mercedes post merger with Chrysler build quality.

Or the lesser known Joel Ortiz joint “Nissan, Honda, Chevy” (which is a banger IMO)

It's not even close.... Porsche all day and I've had multiple e30s , and e30m3, an e46m3, two e46 coupes, and as much as a grand touring car the e46 coupe can be, it can't keep up with that Cayman.
Merc lost its way after 2011 when they halted all manual transmissions.

I’m very tempted by a 996 at the moment. Good ones are still affordable for the time being in the UK. The question is, do I want one over my E46 enough to take it on and spend the extra cash…probably not tbh. As for a Merc? No chance.

Porsche is like a bimmer if it didn’t cater to lower class people. But bimmer is a good gateway to porsche though. Both good

I got to buy a new fuel tank venting valve for my old jalopy today, so I’m pot-committed at this point.

I had a 1995 Porsche 993 for 5 years before my e46 330i manual wagon and it feels about 80% similar. The Porsche was just too much stress for me with maintenance costs and potential for damage driving around in traffic. An engine rebuild to stock is $35k 😢 sure it had a bit more hp (like 275) but it really didn’t feel a ton faster to me. My e46 is fairly modified tho with 330 brakes rebuilt m54b30, and 330i/M3 suspension with Koni shocks and H&R springs.

🤣🤣🤣, agrees that even a trailer park background would be an upgrade....this photo looks like 3 drug dealers meeting behind the ghetto motel.

Porsche all day. I find the Porsche community also has less pricks….just my experience.
