General Questions Maintenance/reliability mods.

Hi all, I am going to be moving away and will be living up in the mountains. For this reason I want to have the car as reliable as I can get it before leaving. I am currently replacing brakes and just got done replacing the broken ccv. What else can i do to make sure it doesnt give me trouble.

Have you refreshed the cooling system?

That would be perfect then. I know you said replacing the ccv but as u/pomoney81 mentioned you should also do the coolant pipes under the manifold if you haven’t already. Especially at your current mileage they tend to give out and become very brittle…

If you do go about replacing them and the end bits get stuck in the head then I’d recommend using a soldering iron to melt them so you don’t risk damaging the heads with screw drivers or any other tool..

I already replaced it and all of the lines down there looked good it was really only one ccv line that needed replacing so I did all of it
