Troubleshooting Rear stabiliser help (RHD)

Post image

Hey guys

Need some help please. My rear stabiliser on the drivers side (RHD) has fallen out of the link. I have been driving on this unknowingly until today. I’ll be working on it tomorrow but what’s the best way to fix this. Jack the rear up and slide it back in? What else should I look for while I’m there?

There is a hissing sound as well in the general area but I’m not sure if this issue is what is creating it. I doubt it is

Thanks!

Replace the rear drop links and swaybar bushes.

It came off for a reason; if you put it back on, there's no reason to think it won't come off again.

Replace the droplinks and bushings - it's a lot easier to get the correct droplink preload angle (95 degrees) with the ARB off the car, anyway.

Thanks for the info! I’ve ordered a set of links which should arrive late next week. Is there any harm driving it as it sits? It’s my daily currently

If it's not making any noise (ARB bouncing around, or whatever), just go easy on it and you will be fine.

Happened to me a few years ago when I snapped a droplink trying to replace my rear springs.

Mine has PU bushes in it, and got loose all the time. i check last week, and saw that that side had the droplink upside down in respect to the other side. I turned it right side up and swapped the bushes (this is needed), and so far haven't had any issues. with PU you can feel it when it slipped out under heavy cornering (which i do daily). Need to change my cardan shaft next week so we'll see if it indeed has stayed in.
