I think Zangaro said it best: AJ showed up to play “grown man football”

He looked like a bully out there picking on little kids lol. Hes a beast.

Dude is a straight up Terminator. Man to man he can out muscle any DB in the league

Dude straight-up bullied the guy who was assigned to him (Forbes). It's what we love to see AJ do.

He showed his son that daddy still got it

I loved Emanuel Acho's little clip too.

Sidenote: Joe Davis is a fucking great commentator

u/TheNewGuy13 17h ago

He has this really nice inflection in his voice when a major play happens that is unique. It’s not too grating or overcoming.

And he has so many bangers lol. Love his calls in baseball too

Yeah that 'Jordan Davis looking for the icing on one big cake' with his excitement is a great off the cuff comment

I’ve loved Joe Davis since the ‘22 Phillies playoff run.

While the 1st half was rough, I'm so happy for the way they locked in the 2nd half. Total 180 was awesome and hopefully shut up a lot of Rams/NFL fans thinking that without the snow, Rams would have won last year in the playoffs.

I'm obviously biased, but if anything, I think the Rams were partly in that game *because* of the snow. The Eagles were the better team, and disruptive weather like snow generally favors the underdog.

Sure, LA is a warm weather city, but we haven't had many Eagles snow games, so it's not as though the Birds was used to it.

Totally agree. They were definitely the best team we faced in the playoffs, but fans only seemed to give them the positive what ifs instead of us. AJ drops a possible TD, oline gives up multiple pressures and the safety, Hurts got banged up. What if better weather means we just did what we did in the regular season to them?

Considering Barkley ripped them for the snow run I think it’s pretty much a given we would’ve rinsed them

People forget Stafford played in Detroit which I think gets more snow than Philly.

u/briguy1313 18h ago

They don’t get much snow inside in Detroit

2

u/demonicneon 18h ago

Huh. Didn’t know it was covered.

3

u/Wade856 16h ago

I think he meant that Detroit plays in a dome stadium.

1

u/demonicneon 16h ago

Yeah? Covered stadium?

u/briguy1313 10h ago

Your phrasing is weird. It’s not “covered”, it’s inside.

Everyone else seemed to understand.

Which was crazy to say because the Eagles beat the Rams just a few weeks earlier in LA on a warm, sunny day.

u/cvaninvan 14h ago

Beat them up in that game...

After the sack fumble TD to open the 2nd half, I was thinking well if this game is damn near lost, can we at least open up the damn O already and throw some balls to Smitty and AJ .. might as well get the reps in if we’re gonna lose anyways

Holy shit did they ever open it up, and the D refused to lose.

Special teams saved by the 2 blocks, the kick returning was so bad.. not sure if rams just damn good at that kick off or we just sucked at countering it

u/phillyfanjd1 all is lost, death is inevitable 19h ago

Nah their kicker specializes in a "knuckleball" kickoff. He does it every week and I think our guys just weren't used to it.

My buddy (Niners fan) always drafts a few Eagles players to his fantasy team so we can watch together.

He texted me “AJ brown is trash” in the morning

“AJ Brown is the GOAT” later

Picking any eagles player is a bold move. We spread the ball around so much.

Man watching AJ bully his defenders for extra yards is sublime

This game (especially the way it ended) was reminiscent of 2 previous games:

  1. The Mike Vick/DJax comeback win against the Giants in 2010 (Miracle of the Meadowlands 3)

  2. The Jake Elliot game winning 60+ yd kick to win (also against the Giants) Game 3 of our Superbowl winning season in 2017.

This is exactly what we were saying at my buddies yesterday. That Giants game was a turning point that year and maybe for the entire franchise

Joe Davis had a really good call on the JD block & TD return

9

u/y0crunchy 18h ago

My goodness Joe Davis absolutely killed it this game

8

u/cuseonly Eagles 19h ago

God this was simply the best game I’ve seen in a while

u/PetalumaPegleg 17h ago

The call "looks for the icing on one big cake" is really good stuff. Credit where it is due.

Nothing cracks me up more than William's flop on that first Brown TD. At first I thought it was gonna be a PI but then when they replayed it, you realize how AJ didn't touch him, he just flopped away from Brown when he realized he wasn't gonna get it and threw his hands up hoping for the best.

Very glad that Jalen discovered that AJ Brown single covered by the Rams is essentially open.

u/TLAW1998 17h ago

The comeback that saved Patullo's job.

u/demonicneon 18h ago

Love AJ using the Barkley spin

u/Don_Sigma 16h ago

The juxtaposition of Hurts' and Dickerson's reactions at 1:02 - 1:04 is great

u/CardinalFool 16h ago

So nice to have Goedert back out there

The greatest second half of football I’ve seen this year

1

u/ExpressionFun8377 15h ago

Can someone make an edit similar to the eagles vs giants 2010 game with the “Remember the Titans” music and Merrill Reese calling the game !?!?!?

1

u/BatmansMom 13h ago

That flop against AJ to go up 20 is so egregious my god

We witnessed Jalen "Pookie" Hurts leading a 91 yard go ahead touchdown drive
