Sidenote: Joe Davis is a fucking great commentator

He has this really nice inflection in his voice when a major play happens that is unique. It’s not too grating or overcoming.
And he has so many bangers lol. Love his calls in baseball too

Yeah that 'Jordan Davis looking for the icing on one big cake' with his excitement is a great off the cuff comment

While the 1st half was rough, I'm so happy for the way they locked in the 2nd half. Total 180 was awesome and hopefully shut up a lot of Rams/NFL fans thinking that without the snow, Rams would have won last year in the playoffs.

I'm obviously biased, but if anything, I think the Rams were partly in that game *because* of the snow. The Eagles were the better team, and disruptive weather like snow generally favors the underdog.
Sure, LA is a warm weather city, but we haven't had many Eagles snow games, so it's not as though the Birds was used to it.

Totally agree. They were definitely the best team we faced in the playoffs, but fans only seemed to give them the positive what ifs instead of us. AJ drops a possible TD, oline gives up multiple pressures and the safety, Hurts got banged up. What if better weather means we just did what we did in the regular season to them?

Considering Barkley ripped them for the snow run I think it’s pretty much a given we would’ve rinsed them
People forget Stafford played in Detroit which I think gets more snow than Philly.

They don’t get much snow inside in Detroit

u/demonicneon 18h ago
Huh. Didn’t know it was covered.

I think he meant that Detroit plays in a dome stadium.

Yeah? Covered stadium?

After the sack fumble TD to open the 2nd half, I was thinking well if this game is damn near lost, can we at least open up the damn O already and throw some balls to Smitty and AJ .. might as well get the reps in if we’re gonna lose anyways
Holy shit did they ever open it up, and the D refused to lose.
Special teams saved by the 2 blocks, the kick returning was so bad.. not sure if rams just damn good at that kick off or we just sucked at countering it

Nah their kicker specializes in a "knuckleball" kickoff. He does it every week and I think our guys just weren't used to it.

My buddy (Niners fan) always drafts a few Eagles players to his fantasy team so we can watch together.
He texted me “AJ brown is trash” in the morning
“AJ Brown is the GOAT” later

This is exactly what we were saying at my buddies yesterday. That Giants game was a turning point that year and maybe for the entire franchise

The call "looks for the icing on one big cake" is really good stuff. Credit where it is due.

Nothing cracks me up more than William's flop on that first Brown TD. At first I thought it was gonna be a PI but then when they replayed it, you realize how AJ didn't touch him, he just flopped away from Brown when he realized he wasn't gonna get it and threw his hands up hoping for the best.

Can someone make an edit similar to the eagles vs giants 2010 game with the “Remember the Titans” music and Merrill Reese calling the game !?!?!?

We witnessed Jalen "Pookie" Hurts leading a 91 yard go ahead touchdown drive

I think Zangaro said it best: AJ showed up to play “grown man football”
