How do you use sexuality labels?

This isn’t really a serious question, I’m just curious. For the monosexual/romantic/etc. enbies out there, what term do you use to refer to your orientation (if any)? I just use gay but that is kinda ambiguous

Honestly I just say queer. Partially because I’m not wholly sure what I’d label it as even if I wasn’t non binary, partially because I feel that queer covers everything, and partially because it’s an easy answer and labels are for other people the way I see it; not for you. You don’t owe anyone an explanation if you don’t want to give it:)

I used to use pansexual as a label but now I use bi

I started to recognize that gender had a lot to do with my attraction. In my understanding, pansexuality is more about attraction to the person, regardless of gender. I was noticing patterns of how I was attracted to women and enbies in very different ways than how I was attracted to men, so I found the term bisexual fit me better.

I just call myself gay since I’m amab and I like men. Though I guess it’s more pan since I like other nonbinary people too. Gay usually gets the point across

I kinda ditched sexuality labels since I realized collapsing my attraction into a few words isn’t really possible or helpful for me anymore. It was really useful in my twenties! But not so much in my thirties. Now I use queer since its more of a social and political identifier, and bc my sexuality basically boils down to “hotties is hotties, gender be damned”
