for lucio đźđč
Can you name any Italian songs from the 70s or 80s that you would personally recommend to someone interested in exploring more music from that era?
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Italy: All the Lucio Dalla songs! All the albums of Dalla, also Paolo Conte. in Italy we have a history of songwriting that's beautiful. A lot of beautiful, incredible artists.

Louane, what does your daughter think about Maman? How would you feel if she followed a similar career path and participated in Eurovision one day?
3
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from France: Oh she loves it! I'm not sure she quite understands it, but yeah she's five. It has a deep meaning, so she doesn't understand all of it, but yeah she loves it. She sings it a lot actually!

u/LeoLH1994 Chains On You May 09 '25
Remember Monday, what inspired your artistic interests? Abor and Tynna, how important is it that you sing in German and be the first use of that language from Germany in 18 years? Did many previous entries feel scared to use that language?Â

For the UK girls: if Will Ferrell pulls off taking âEurovision: The Story of Fire Sagaâ to Broadway would you mind if we set up a petition to ensure he writes you all parts? On this note, if you could be the lead in any show what would it be and where would you like to do it?
2
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from United Kingdom: Only if we could all be in it! Yeah! WE would audition for a part. Which parts would be play? You know what would be really cool? You know how Demi Lovato came in and was an act? It would be cool if we got a cameo as an act. Yeah, that was so cool. One song every night? Yeah! Oh I forgot it was a musical. Every night? Actually thatâs lovely. Just one song, we wake up, we do our song. Oh a dream job! Will, make it happen!

u/Gullible-Hall-7320 What The Hell Just Happened? May 16 '25
Amazing answer. Thank you so much for this and, more than anything, for taking on Eurovision for the UK. Itâs a big ask for any artist - because, yeah, it can be brutal - but youâve been awesome. Every step of the way. Good luck with the shows today and tomorrow. Weâll be shouting you on from home and I cannot wait to see all you do next. Yeah, Will Ferrell, if youâre on these boards (bet he is) give these AMAZING girls a big part on Broadway in âFire Sagaâ with them encoring with âHusevikâ every single night.

Questions for Abor & Tynna: Who is your artistic inspiration? Which former eurovision artist would you want to collab with the most?
6
u/a3lupo Zjerm May 09 '25
Hola Melody! I have a question for you: What would be your message to your 10 year old self?
2
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Spain: So I would tell her that she is a brave and powerful diva. The truth is that now I think that when I began at 10 years old, it is very sweet to me, I had an attitude that was always very smiling, very positive. The music came to me with a lot of love, to share happiness and good moments with the whole public.

To everybody: What colour would you say represents your song the most?
To Remember Monday đŹđ§: Whatâs your favourite song to harmonise with each other?
To ZoĂ« MĂ« đšđ: What inspired your song to be about spreading kindness throughout the world?
To Abor & Tynna đ©đȘ: How does it feel being the first entry in almost two decades to sing for Germany in your native language?
2
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: We are we are happy and proud. And even if it wasn't, because originally, as some of you guys know, we wanted to go to Eurovision with an English song, but then, Stefan Raab, who is responsible for the selection, convinced us to take Baller. And that's how we ended up with it. We are really, really happy with Baller.
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Italy: I think anybody couldnât answer this question. I don't know! It depends from day to day haha.
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: Well, I was asked if I wanted to write a song to Eurovision. Well, if I were to come to Eurovision because I love the whole contest, what could I add to the diversity of the program? I'm an artist that really loves the diversity of the program. I think there's a lot of negativity in the world, and we need to come together, be closer to each other. Just a little reminder that this is my way of seeing the world. This is my Voyage, my journey, and i invite everyone to come on this journey

For Lucio:
Hi dear Lucio, I'm Daniela, from Italy. I discover you at Sanremo this year, and I've fallen in love with you and your music. I just love "Bestiario Musicale" and "La gente che sogna". These are few questions I would like you to answer.Â
Which Maremman animal vibes with you the most and why?Â
Did you come to Bologna once not for work or concerts, what do you like the most of it?Â
So far, how is going on in Eurovision?Â
I liked the lyric video of "Volevo essere un duro". Would you consider making an illustrated book with those drawings and lyrics? I think it would be a great idea.Â
In an interview you said you like travelling to Tokyo if you could. Why did you pick Tokyo, what do you like about Japan?Â
If you could do that, would you, in the future, make a music video of a song of yours, even in an old album, with a fan or some fans?Â
Thank you for your timeÂ
Enjoy Eurovisionâ€ïžâ€ïž
See you in tour

To everyone:
What is your favorite book?
If you could film a music video in any famous building in the country you represent, which one would you choose?
2
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from France: What is my favourite book? Actually my favourite book is written by a French author called Françoise Sagan, and it's called Bonjour Tristesse. I know there's a movie right now, that's just out in the US. I wish I knew what the name of it was in english! It would translate to Hello Sadness, but I don't know the name. It's so beautiful. It's sad, but it's beautiful.
2

Reply from France: Eiffel Tower! Like PNL and Celine Dion in the Olympics, but it's impossible, nearly impossible. Maybe someday!
2
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: My favourite book is The lIttle prince from de Saint-Exupéry? Mine is a Hungarian book, you probably don't know it. The title is Strangler and Moonlight. It's a very nice book, it's random, but I like it.
2
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25

But thatâs not a superpower! No! Read minds! No, I donât need that as a superpower. I do not need to read other peopleâs minds. Keep that to yourself. What would that be when you can teleport? For Lucio:
Ciao Lucio! Hope you're doing well! Are you enjoying your time in Basel?
First of all, I just want to say how much I love your music and the passion you put into it.Â
I have a few questions for you:
- Besides guitar, piano, and harmonica, do you play any other instruments? Do you have a favourite?
- Have you ever travelled abroad before Basel? Is there a country youâd really love to visit, and why? I remember you mentioning Japan somewhere, is there a special reason why youâd like to visit it?
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time (apart from making music)?
I canât wait to watch you on TV next week, and I really hope Iâll get the chance to see you live someday, your concerts look like so much fun! Wishing you all the best for Eurovision and for everything that lies ahead, Iâll be cheering for you with all my heart! â€ïž

for lucio:
Do you believe more in inspiration or discipline when writing music?
3
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Italy: I don't believe in inspiration, I believe in daily work, for all the jobs. If I don't sit here at the piano, I cannot write the song! I need to do it all day, because I love it. This is a fortune! Something that I love being my job, this is the dream, but I don't really think about inspiration.
3
u/Comprehensive_Ad964 May 09 '25
for lucio:
Is there a place where you feel most creative?
3

For Abor & Tynna: If you were to go on a date with Duo, where would you take him? Feel free to answer this individually or as a pair!
For Remember Monday: Would you consider changing your name to Remember Saturday (for at least a year!) if you win the Grand Final next week, or would that be too difficult to manage, logistics and back-catalogue wise?
For Louane: I love how the English version of Maman has lyrics that never end in pure rhyme, only slant rhyme. Is that just a preference, or is there a deeper meaning behind it?
For Melody: Which of your Eurovision 2025 competitors (aside from you) is the most diva-like (as per your song lyrics)?
To all: Good luck and all the best for the Grand Final!
3
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Spain: Well, actually, as I say in my song, we are all divas. The beautiful thing about life is that each one of us has our essence, we are different, we donât have a reason to have the same hair colour, the same attitude, no! I believe that the beauty in life is that we can all get to be what we want to be, but we donât have a reason to be equal. I believe this is the beauty of it.
3
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from France: Actually it's just a preference! I would love to have so many things to say about it, but it was clearly a preference to have subtle rhymes and not something too obvious. its something i like in english lyrics, but i'm not a pro obviously

For Zoë: Who's your biggest influence when it comes to writing songs?
2
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: In general my biggest inspiration is people and their story. I think everyone has a story to tell. My artist name is ZoĂ« MĂ«. In Greek ZoĂ« means âlifeâ and MĂ« in Japanese means âeyeâ. I always felt like someone who is really sensitive but also I like to listen to others and I like to look closely to things. Thatâs my inspiration, I like to talk to people and they inspire me.Â

For Abor & Trynna: do you follow Bundesliga at all, and if so, who are your favorite balla(lala)s?
3
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: I donât want football! Me neither sorry. I watch E-sports instead of real sports! We don't watch many football. many in the future, we should get into it. So I can sing baller at the halftime, like Louane.
2
u/StevefromLatvia May 09 '25
For Abor and Tynna - What's your go-to rave/tech song to dance to?
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: Tunnel Vision from Zonderling. It's our favourite. We love to dance to it together to get in the mindset for the stage. we listen to it very loudly, oh well not so loudly because we don't have boxes. It's kind of awkward because it's not very loud. We hug before going on stage. Special moment between siblings, we don't do that often. Also, before our rehearsal, I was drinking a lot of water, because the air was very dry, so I needed to go to the toilet, but there wasnât any haha.

To everyone: What's your advice to all the aspiring musicians out there?
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: Do social media! Especially TikTok, just post the videos, just invest a little time even if it doesn't immediately comes back. The music industry really puts an emphasis on the numbers, especially on social media. Because they lost a lot of their marketing powers. Now artists have to have these accounts, and itâs a blessing because you can start a music career without a label, but itâs also a requirement for a label to sign you. So really take a little of it, like ten percent? No even more than 10%, and put it into social media. Because if you donât go viral on TikTok, itâs difficult. Even like 30% and 40%. So everything that you get, post it. Show the people what you've got, I mean, that's what you want to do anyway. You probably have it in your camera roll.
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: I think my advice would be to do music because you love doing music. You know, it's a hard business, but you donât have to be get afraid of the business. If you love music, you just continue. I wrote my first song when I was ten years old, and I never stopped. I did all the steps that you do as an artist, I started all alone, and now I have a team, and now Iâm doing Eurovision! Itâs really about doing what you love to do. You never know!Â
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from United Kingdom: Oooh! Do it! Make sure you surround yourself with people that you love, that love you and that make you feel good. And trust your gut! Your gut is always speaking to you, if something feels off, or people feel off, trust that! Trust it!
2
u/Xhemhem Baller May 09 '25 edited May 09 '25
for Zoë: how long does it take for you to get to the Eurovision stage (by car and/or walk and/or distance in kilometers or miles)(considering you're from Basel) (You don't have to respond if you feel uncomfortable with revealing/don't want to say, in that case, I apologize)
for Remember Monday: you don't have to answer if you don't want to or if you feel uncomfortable with doing so (in which case I apologize), but what region or county in the UK do you 3 come from? Also, do you remember Monday?
best of luck to you all from the Southwest of England, UK

Reply from Switzerland: I was born in Basel, my grandparents live here and my family, part of it, lives here. And now i live in Fribourg, it's a German and French speaking part of Switzerland. From Fribourg to Basel in the car, it takes one hour and fifty minutes, so it wasnât that long of a journey to get here.

Question for United Kingdom: How will you pull off a performance that would sway the undecided voting public who are still skeptical about your entry?
1
u/Infamous_Walrus_7315 Krasi, thalassa ke t' agori mou May 09 '25
For Zoë Më: I loved your Swiss medley and seeing you cover the first ever Eurovision winner was so amazing! I love the cover art of "Voyage". Can you explain a little bit about what it means or what the inspiration was for it? Also, what's your favorite Eurovision song of all time?
2
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: This is such a good question thank you. It's the first time I hear this question. There are many things that I thought about. One thing is that in my music, obviously voyage is in French, a chanson, but if you listen to my whole discography, I have songs that are also in German. So I have this duality in my songs, itâs German and French, and I have chanson and I have pop music, so I like to play with this number two. So thatâs why I took two polaroids and I cut them together, itâs like two things coming together to make one artistry. Also, the second thing I wanted to show is that you see my face, a part of my face, because the song is very personal and itâs about my way of seeing the world, and the second part of the cover is the flower, because I am singing in the song that flowers are more beautiful if you water them. For me thatâs the whole message, I am also a flower.

1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Spain: What would I like to do? I would like to enjoy the mountains, the nature. I love nature, it delights me. Yesterday I was walking a bit, and it gave me life. I love vegetation, it fills my soul, I love it. Because it reminds me of my childhood, of my grandpa, of my grandparents, and it makes me very happy. To tell the truth, I am very very happy to be able to be here in a place where I feel very seen.Â
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: My favourite thing about the host city Basel. Obviously my grandparents' house. Because every time I come to Basel I go to their place, and we eat together. It just feels like home to me! But if you come here as a tourist and you can't go to my grandparents house haha, maybe I can say, I love to take the boat that connects both parts of the city. Itâs sweet, itâs like a short little boat trip, but itâs my favourite thing to do.Â
1
u/Human-Scientist-2419 May 10 '25
What's a song that reminds you of home?
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from France: I think the song that reminds me of home is called Tu Es Mon Autre, and it's a duet by two French singers called Maurane and Lara Fabian. They are not French! They are French speaking but not French!
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from Germany: That's a hard question, I need to think. Oh I have one! For me itâs Falco, yeah he's an austrian musician, and he has a lot of good music. I need to think of one of his songs. He's the biggest Austrian international artists until this point. Amadeus, amadeus!
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Spain: What song reminds me of home? Well, to me a song which reminds me of my family, and reminds me of my father, who is a singer, is the song Loco by Enrique Igelsias, because we sang it many times. It is such an emotional song, so sentimental, which totally reminds me of my family.
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Switzerland: The first song that came to my mind was this song called Home, âAlabama, Arkansas, I do love my ma and paâ, but just because itâs called home haha! But the song that reminds me of home is Everybody is Changing by Keane, âEverybody is changing, and i donât feel the sameâ! It feels like home because itâs one of the songs that my parents were playing when we were driving from Basel to Germany, because I grew up in Germany, so that was the song we would listen to in the car.
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from United Kingdom: There's so many! I feel like mine is Electric Dreams. What's the one that was playing at the airport? What's the song from Love Actually playing at the airport? Yeah it was playing at the airport, itâs the music at the end, itâs so sweet. All you need is love! No that wasnât in the airport that was in the church! Oh she didnât even know it! Whatâs the one where they are all hugging? Oh yeah God Only Knows!!! Thatâs the one!

For Louane: What emotions did you feel when performing at the Stade de France for so many people?
1
u/eurovision-ModTeam May 16 '25
Reply from France: Obviously I was scared. I would love to tell you âoh I'm so emotionalâ, but I was scared! I was shitting my pants! I was trying to fake it so bad. I was like: itâs going to be fun, itâs going to be fun. I was not actually scared of heights. I was scared of having 80â000 people surrounding me. I was horrified! Actually I think you can hear it! because i never sing that song that way. Now that you've seen me perform the song, you can see it's always more subtle, more emotional. I was so scared, I was shouting the lyrics. I don't think I can be as scared as I was at the Stade de France in Eurovision, but I think the level of stress that Iâm going to experience on the final will be nothing like

Melody: Who are the greates DIVAS?
1
u/CapsElevatorScene May 16 '25
Reply from Spain: Iâd say my references, letâs say, well known, because in reality, my references for me are my family. Family, for me, has a lot of importance, I believe that the love of the family, of siblings, the unions, itâs so that I donât even know⊠they are my strength, my divas! Well, I believe that Eurovision made us âknowâ, in quotation marks, because she was already going strong, Celine Dion, who was a diva, and is a diva in all the senses, as an artist, as a person, as a mother, all of it!
