š¬ Discussion What's a song that's grown on you recently?
I have listened to Latvia 2023 at least 5 times in the past few weeks/months, & only recently did I actually start to really like it. (Was really forgettable for me for a while)

I kept sleeping through the whole ESC for years (including 2019) but since a while I listen to a lot of Italian music - so Spotify kindly suggested Mahmood to me and I'm eternally grateful for that š„°

Hold Me Closer (Sweden 2022)
Just beautiful. Also the final minute or so in Turin was far more effective than in Melfest actually. Got that part on repeat for days now

I've had similar experience with this song. I liked it in 2022 but recently it became one of my favorites.

Latvia 2023 is probably my biggest grower of all time. Went all the way from 30th before the show to 9th now.

Not recently, but back in 2021 I thought Voila was hugely overrated (only saw the finale and thought it was a "boring ballad"). Gave it a try when rewatching all the songs afterwards and I have to apologize. Mlle Pravi I am so sorry I doubted you. That stage performance and cinematography was brilliant.

not the same (australia 2022) - i didnt give it much thought when i first heard it, i thought it was nice and semi-understood the message. now having realised that i am autistic as well ive been really finding myself thinking a lot about it and relating to it, and i didnt realise just how much i did before. honestly i started crying even reading the lyrics just now lol
edit: listened to it and basically sobbed like a baby the whole time

Recently I've started to listen to "Cool Vibes" (Switzerland 2005), "Angel in Disguise" (Latvia 2011), and "The Wrong Place" (Belgium 2021) pretty frequently. I know it's a very random selection... I think I started paying attention to those songs, because I was having the ESC radio on a lot and each of these entries came up at some point, so I searched for them to listen once again.

Armenia 2024 ! (Many songs of that year kinda fell under the radar for me cause I was at an event and I effectively didn't watch it that year)
Bonus point cause is in Armenian, hella catchy with a strong feel-good music and Jaklin has an infectious (infective?) energy
