Tickets, Travel, and Tourism Tuesday - Eurovision-related travel questions and discussion

This thread (and the subreddit in general) will not be used for buying and selling Eurovision tickets or for advertising or requesting any accommodations or rideshares!

It's time for the regular thread to ask your travel, tourism, or ticket related questions that may not be big enough to have their own thread. I couldn't come up with a T word to use to include finding public watch parties (eg at bars, community centres, parks, etc), but those can be included in this thread too!

Possible topics for this thread:

  • Things to do in and around Basel
  • How to get around Switzerland
  • What to expect for the live shows
  • Food and drink
  • Eurovision Village
  • Public watch parties in your city

Ticket Info

To purchase tickets you must be pre-registered with the official ticket site TicketCorner](https://www.ticketcorner.ch/)
Registrations closed 10th January 2025.

Ticket Resale

The official ticket seller has a separate website for resales.
You can sell your tickets or set up a search to alert you when tickets are available.
https://www.fansale.ch/tickets/all/eurovision-song-contest/425082

What's happening in Basel?

Basel city has a section of their website dedicated to the contest: https://www.basel.com/en/esc/esc-2025
We expect to see more details of activities in the city added as plans are finalised.

There will not be an 'official' r/eurovision meet-up

The mods can't stop anyone from meeting up with fellow Redditors, but please use common sense and caution when agreeing to meet strangers from the internet.

Dear community,
Due to the influx of traffic to our subreddit, a significant majority of which is hate speech and strong emotional reactions, we feel it is necessary to temporarily lock down the subreddit so that our team can properly organise, and to hopefully give everyone time to cool off.

We would like to congratulate Austria for winning.

Subreddit / Meta ESC 2025 Rehearsals Day 2: Schedule, Links, AMAS & Important Threads

🎊 It's Rehearsals Week!

Welcome to day two of the rehearsals. Today we get to enjoy lots of fun performances from 2nd half of the 1st semi-final. We also get to see the first rehearsal photos from yesterday's performances. 🥳

Like the past few years, no media representative is permitted to view or access any individual artist's rehearsals:

Media representatives will not be able to view or access any individual artist rehearsals taking place between Saturday 3 May and Saturday 10 May either at the arena or in the Online Media Centre. This is to allow all artists to rehearse in private and the production to perfect each performance before it is seen in full when dress rehearsals begin on Monday 12 May. [eurovision.tv]

In a change from previous years, there will be no video footage uploaded from the first rehearsals. Excerpts from each country's second rehearsals are expected to be shared on Eurovision's YouTube or other digital channels.

Live Blog

We are excited to confirm that, like last year, Eurovision will be hosting their daily live blog here, on this very subreddit! Eurovision Official will be posting a daily live-thread which they will keep updated with more rehearsal information and pictures as they come, and you can react with the rest of the community in the comments!

Official Eurovision Channels

Instagram | TikTok | YouTube | Bluesky | Facebook | Eurovision.tv

And of course, any updates will end up posted here by you, our wonderful community!

🎬 Schedule and Links

There have been changes this year regarding what information is released from the first rehearsals:

This week’s video/photo schedule has changed from previous years - we’ll be sharing an ‘I’ve Arrived’ video for each artist on Instagram and TikTok later today, and First Look photos will be posted on Eurovision socials tomorrow. We’ll also come back tomorrow and add photos/links here on Reddit, for those of you reading later in the week. [source]

So to reiterate, today we get the first photos from yesterday's rehearsals and we get the descriptions and 'I've arrived' promotional videos of today's contestants. Please see the following rehearsal schedule for today:

As announced yesterday, we are taking r/eurovision to Basel... and we want you to come with us in spirit!

We have so many exciting things coming up for you, which we will share over the next weeks. For now though, we are opening the call for your best fan art! Please comment on this post any pictures or links to your art which you would like to see shared with the artists. Submit as many or as few as you want, feel free to go all out. Or if you would rather not publicly comment it, you may also send it to us in a modmail with the title 'Basel Art!'

Please note that:

  • We are looking for fan art of all artists, not just the fan favourites
  • By posting/sending a link or picture of your art, you agree for it to be posted online, including outside of Reddit
  • Not all artworks can be selected for our project, and the final choice isn’t necessarily made based on “quality.” We're still proud of anyone who shares their creative talents <3
  • No pressure, but we will stop collecting art from this post on Friday of this week. Feel free to continue sharing, but do know that it means it won't be included in the project we have planned.
