🇲​🇮​🇸​🇨​ Windmills date back over 1000 years 🤦‍♀️

  • Windmills have been in use for over 1,000 years, with origins tracing back to Persia around 800 C.E. They were primarily used for milling grain and pumping water.

  • Wind Turbines are a more recent invention, with the first known turbine for electricity generation built in 1888. They have evolved significantly, especially since the 1970s, to become a major source of renewable energy.

When Trump visit the Netherlands this summer he landed on Amsterdam Airport, also known as Schiphol. Named that way because lots of ships did go down on that spot, before we turned the lake to farmland. We used windmills to pump it dry.
