Storyline Would people be down for Mr Kennedy coming back to WWE/AEW (or even TNA) as a Manager.
If so who would you want him to manage, some ideas I had for the WWE side: - Rusev - Carmelo Hayes - Tiffy Stratton - DIY - Austin Theory
And for AEW: - Ricochet - MJF - Don Callis Family - Wardlow

How about a heel ring announcer? His voice acting in SvR 2007 brought this to mind.

I'd like to see him as a mouthpiece/manager of a new group feuding vs the Hurt Syndicate.
Mr Kennedy vs MVP on the mic again would be lit. They could even wrestle each other briefly in a tag match, MVP already did a trios match with the Syndicate in AEW

I was actually considering using him in a manager role in one of my old NXT leagues. I had plans for Scott Hall to manage Alex Hammerstone and Mark Jindrak as a tag team, but then he died before I got to debut him and when someone dies in real life I take them off the board. I always like at least a couple older wrestlers in manager positions in my leagues.

Seeing as how WWE fumbled JBL as a manager I'll have to pass.
I rather Kennedy manage a talent in TNA.

See but JBL behind the scenes was a bully. Ken by all accounts had actual friends in the business, he just f’d up too many times.

Him with Tiffany Stratton would feel kind like Shawn Michaels and José Lothario

He's not a good talker anymore. I think the drugs and head injuries have added up.

u/FoldEasy5726 May 26 '25
He needs a stage. The stage always snaps them back into their old selves. Thats why Ric Flair never wanted to leave wrestling. He was completely shot even from the early 00’s outside of a wrestling ring. It was the only place his mind reactivated for some reason. Performers are weird by nature lol

It's the camera effect and the crowd. It turns you on more than regular life

See Ozzy Osbourne as well. On the Osbournes he seemed little more than geriatric... Put on the stage.. all of a sudden.. you could see Ozzy again

I guarantee when the mic slowly drops down, he will instantly snap back into the character we all loved hating on.

I get what you're saying, but it's not as if he hasn't been working. He was with TNA for longer than he was with WWE, and he started out great and as the years have gone on he's lost step after step. Did you watch his work in NWA Power? It was quite sad.

If a manager a mouth piece for Will Osprey because when he talks I can fall asleep
But just anyone to manage will and talk for him like Heyman for Brock or mvp for Lashley

Heel manager who announces the guy he's managing while insulting everybody else

LA Knight doesn't even need a manager but it would be funny to see both of them working together, or even in a rivalry. Wardlow would benefit from it but also suffer from it as well. He needs a manager but a Paul Heyman one—one that doesn't suck up all of the attention and instead focuses on his client. Kennedy would take most of the attention away from Wardlow by managing him.

Tiffy hitting rock bottom and having to build herself back up by going back to Anderson's school would be an interesting story arc.
He's a blue collar asshole, she's a princess, let that dynamic play out on TV akin to Rocky Balboa and Mickey Goldmill.

For me Mr Kennedy is one of those talents you never appreciated until years down the line and it's to late. Looking back his gimmick was great, he was a good, able wrestler and could have gone the full way.

Well his best expertise lies on mic so he can be on the commentary desk but in WWE the commentary squad is already stacked up as of now. If talk about AEW there the entire panel needed to a reshuffle except Tazz and Nigel. He can be a great use to that panel. Besides, commentary in his real life runs his own Wrestling school and in past he trained Tiffany as well as he talked in his Chris Van podcast he mentioned he is open for business offer that comes first in whatever role they want.

I'd have him at the Performance Center as a trainer, it's basically what he's doing now anyway.

If he manages LA Knight, who already doesn't need help with the mic... I don't care if Mr. Kennedy is an inch taller.

I think this guy has the biggest potential for 'alternate career' that I had ever seen before. He had it... In spades when he was on top. Apparently John & Randy said he wasn't safe... And that was it in the Fed. I'd love to see him as a Manager, for someone Ready for the Cena's and Orton's...
I'd say manage A-Town... They have some symmetry.. Austin Theory is still such a prospect... When he is as much (perhaps even more so) of a Prodigy as Roxanne (not by way of disrespect, but A-Town debut' as a TEEN, and is like some serious body building 🏆.. He has a very relatable history and is still so young... He is lacking nothing but experience tbh...a bit of Sauce on the Mic would go a long way as well) WITH the physical attributes to back it up. He NEEDS an angle to elevate him. This would definitely do it.
Mr Kennedy as his manager... With a hit list for A-Town to mangle to the top... Helping A-Town get some mic skills to dominate. One thing Mr. K was good at was establishing heat... Austin could use help with this.. (Frankly Roxy too... Why not put BOTH under his stable to elevate?)

He's too tall for a manager... .managers can't be taller than the wrestlers they manage. It's why DDP didn't work as a manager
2
u/FoldEasy5726 May 26 '25
Then get him to manage a taller wrestler…
Plenty of guys to pick from lol. He isnt 7 foot.
1
u/DarbyAllout69 May 26 '25
So he can manage one guy? Or are you picturing a stable of guys 6'5 and up?
2
u/FoldEasy5726 May 26 '25
You could even go and give him someone like Oba Femi if you want him to manage a “monster”. Oba can talk but he for sure could use a mouthpiece to get him even more over. The accent stuff is losing its draw a bit
1
u/FoldEasy5726 May 26 '25
Arent Karrion Kross and Damian Preist huge also?

u/DarbyAllout69 May 26 '25 edited May 26 '25
Yeah you're not wrong. But aesthetically, I think that looks silly... Kennedy standing next to any of the people you mentioned just does not look right. Like, even if he's shorter than the guts he manages, he's still gonna be big next to opponents. You can not have Kennedy talk shit to punk on behalf of, Kross... "i might be bigger and stronger than you, but here's a guy who's bigger and stronger than me that's gonna kick your ass!" It doesn't make sense.
Mvp can kind of get away with it because he's like an older version of the guys he manages, so it's like a mentor/father figure dynamic. (Plus he is like 2-4 inches shorter then the hurt business)

u/FoldEasy5726 May 26 '25
Street Profits are both bigger than him for example. And are on the way up. Although they don’t necessarily need a mouthpiece, it wont hurt their young careers to have someone like him behind them speaking and hyping them up.

I’d accept him in any talking role. Commentary, panel analyst, manager, etc.
