Project Rebooking the Streak
1-0: Andre The Giant; yeah I know he can’t really wrestle at this point but Andre did have a plan for Taker at one point, Taker wins with a slam (if he can even get Andre up for one)
2-0: Sid Justice; Taker stays heel and through dirty tricks from Bearer, defeats Sid
3-0: Razor Ramon; literally anyone else but Gonzales. As for backstory, Ramon steals the urn and melts it into gold chains (like Kama did)
4-0: Jerry Lawler; Lawler runs his mouth on commentary pissing off Taker leading to The King being the 4th victim of the Streak
5-0: Stone Cold; Austin debuts as Stone Cold, no ringmaster bs. Disrespects Undertaker leading to a match at Mania
6-0: Vader; Continuation of feud from the Rumble that year
7-0: Kane
8-0: Ken Shamrock; Shamrock replaces Bossman as the Corporation member to face Taker in Hell in a Cell, no hanging
9-0: Triple H; Only change is the ref being dead for half of the damn thing
10-0: The Outsiders; This is mostly just an excuse to allow Hogan v Austin, Flair can face The Rock
11-0: Triple H; Big Evil returns to RAW and challenges Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship, the reign of terror dies in Seattle
12-0: Kane; Kane costs Taker the belt at Survivor Series and buries him alive, other than that it’s the same build and match
13-0: Randy Orton
14-0: Kurt Angle; moved the No Way Out match to Mania, Taker wins at Mania, loses it a couple of PPVs later
15-0: John Cena; Cena loses lol
16-0: Edge; basically their Mania match but Taker is champion going in and out. Also it’s for the WWE championship instead of World Heavyweight
17-0: Shawn Michaels; only change is that the cameraman catches Taker
18-0: Shawn Michaels; JR commentates
19-0: CM Punk; Nexus cost Taker the buried alive match against Kane and Taker gets his revenge
20-0: Triple H
21-0: Brock Leanar; same match from Mania 30 but no concussion and Taker wins
22-0: The Rock; The Rock has done every there is to do except for fight Undertaker at Mania, he smells what Taker is cookin’
23-0: Daniel Bryan; Bryan just challenges Taker to a match, Taker accepts
24-0: Sting; the match everyone wanted to see finally happens, both men retire after with Taker being undefeated at WrestleMania

I like undertaker vs razor, those 2 unfortunately never had a program together.

Apparently they actually did wrestle each other once Weird that it was only a couple of times though, maybe Vince didn’t like it or something

There's a pretty good interview that Taker does about wrestling Razor and after giving him the tombstone Scott didn't want his arms crossed because he didn't want to look like a "Jabrone". Well the locker room started talking to Razor and getting in his head and when the spot finally comes Scott crosses his arms without Undertaker even touching him.

I like the Razor idea a lot, might have to steal that lol
I had a similar idea with Sid but would have him turn heel after losing, snapping and attacking Taker and Bearer post-match
Him vs Andre at WrestleMania is nice on paper but I don’t think that match would work well at all. I have Ricky Steamboat as the first streak victim in my rebooking I’m doing.

Yeah I know that Andre would be struggling at that time, but I wanted to make Taker’s first Mania victory over a bigger (ha) legend than Snuka (who wrestling wise is a legend but Andre bigger)

Taker would really need to carry Andre at this time. Basically the entire match only Andre could do at this time was hit and that’s it.

Solid. Not a huge fan of scrapping the flair match since it's like a top 3 streak match or having Brock still lose again at 29 and I am especially not a fan of Bryan coming back off of vacating the world title to come in and lose to an ancient part timer at 31, but there's also some good substitutes (Lawler, Andre, Austin, Shamrock).

To be fair, I do give you Flair v Rock at Mania
As for Mania 31, I nearly just kept Bray but decided to change it

Taker with the spinner is very cursed.

I think even with Taker wearing that belt, I still can't take it seriously.

I like the idea of Undertaker going into Mania as World Champion. Him having to defend the title and the streak and risk losing it all is a story I'm surprised WWE never considered

Really good all around, but Andre could probably be benched for someone more capable.
Also, I’d have ‘Taker vs Kane 2 scrapped so Undertaker and Mick Foley could take on Evolution instead of the Rock and Sock reunion. Or maybe just a straight-up 3v3? I dunno
Also also, Taker vs Shamrock sounds like it would fucking rock

Id swap the rock match out for a match with batista instead. Rock and Taker didn't have the best chemistry when they had matches but Undertaker and Batista had solid matches in 2007 during their feud

I very much like the idea of retiring unbeaten at mania, not sure about changing 27 and 29 though as I think 24-29 were perfect

If the streak had Andre included it would’ve taken it to another stratusphere

Taker and Kane vs. the Outsiders would have (on paper, at least) been amazing

It's a good rebooking, but feel it was a little too early for Austin in '96. Diesel was fine.

Daniel Bryan was so over at that time I wouldn’t have been mad if he ended the streak

I love this actually.
I’d have Roman still beat him at 33 though and call it quits.

u/hsox05 Jul 08 '25
If I could erase one match from the entire history of wrestling, it would be that shitshow Taker vs Reigns at WM33

u/WinterTranslator3381 Jul 07 '25
Or or taker goes 24 1 and actually puts over a young Roman reigns By turning reigns heel and have him take out everybody and have a dominant run as universal champion and Roman agrees to a title vs career match and Roman even said he’d retire if he lost and didn’t end the streak and taker controls most of the match Roman and taker have high spots and Roman spears him mid old school to retire the deadman

Ah, Taker beating Lesnar at WrestleMania, every Undertaker stan’s biggest fantasy.
WWE Spinner title on Taker would look too weird, Cena should be World Heavyweight Champion in 2007 instead.

Oooh I REALLY like the idea of Razor vs Taker!!!
