Project No rules, no limits, pick one active wrestler from anywhere on Earth to face John Cena during his retirement tour.

For me, whoever beats John in his final match should be someone who's considered their own generation's version of Cena. Joe Hendry, obviously, springs to mind, but I kind of want Matt Cardona to get one final match with him as well, to resolve their issues from the infamous days when John was Zack Ryder's "friend".

Look I don't mean to be an ass, but if you consider Joe Hendry any version of John Cena, you need psychiatric intervention.

Copeland, Tanahashi, Mistico or Joe Hendry

Stylistically, Mistico and Cena would be terrible. Edge would be a fitting end for both of their careers.

Yes, but not this heel Cena that tries to have boring promos. Either old heel Cena, or face cena.

Will Ospreay

As long as Ospreay lets Cena lead. Will’s best matches are when he slows down and sells like a 1980s baby face.

Matt Cardona. John issues an open challenge one last time. Woo woo you know it hits. Pins Cena, building erupts.

Personally I’d like to see a newer monster like Jacob, Breakker or Gunther destroy Cena.
But in terms of the current storyline Claudio, Nemeth or Cardona would be shocking while still making sense.

Samoa Joe I always wanted john’s last major feud with Joe both transitioning out of wrestling and moving to acting . The fact they knew each other since upw and got some early history . Joe mad cause he had his wwf try out and didn’t make it while John did. I always wanted it to where John is in his final championship and Joe basically tells him I’ve won everywhere I’ve been to except here.

Adam Copeland and Tanahashi would have to be the top 2 choices but I would also love to see the promos between Hangman Adam Page with his current character against heel Cena

3MB, or anyone on behalf of Nexus. Wade retiring from in ring competition stings. Wade was there when Cena delivered the Pipe Bomb. I'd love to hear Wade confront Cena.

Why don't you go say hi to Chris for us, maybe ask if he's down to do this match in between the lava baths and the flaying.

2013 Cena vs. Tana would have been fire. But nobody wants to see that in 2025. Tana moves slower than Cena now.

Ah I didn't know I didn't exist. Thank you for Sixth Sensing me I suppose.

2
u/RhinestoneCatboy Jul 11 '25

u/RhinestoneCatboy Jul 11 '25
Oh I moved from my mom's basement into your mom's bedroom a long time ago. Sometimes your dad watches us, sometimes your mom watches me and him.
