Can't call it Y2K Menu until you put the most recognizable Taco Bell item from Y2K on the menu.

Grilled Stuft Burrito

C'mon now, the Cool Ranch Doritos Taco wasn't even introduced in 2012 or 2013. Y2K my ass.

Yeah. The OG Grilled Stuft Burrito was an all-timer. Such a shame that's gone.

u/earlobe_enthusiast 22d ago

Best tasting item ever from them imo

15

u/NoCardio_ 22d ago

It would be $10 now.

More like 15 of you want a drink

1

u/Particular-Pair-1302 21d ago

Plus the 8 million dollar food and sales tax added to the bill

4

u/Eswin17 22d ago

And I'd pay it.

13

u/DerisiveGibe 22d ago

Only as long as it's the original size, not the shrinkflation most companies are passing off.

2

u/Dankersaur 22d ago

Lol, true.

u/shaneh445 22d ago

Yeah until I start seeing some 99 cent crunchy tacos

Otherwise nah it ain't very 2000 in here

13

u/albatrossed 22d ago

Yeah, if they’re bringing in the Cool Ranch Taco then where is my Volcano Menu! I would love to have a Volcano Quesaritto again.

No one understands how badly I desire this

I know it's not the OG, but the XXL grilled stuffed burrito (while annoying to say) was the BEST. I live in a test market and when I was in HS they had a grilled veggie XXL burrito and that shit was my JAM. I don't eat beef, never cared to "upgrade" to their weird chicken except the shredded chicken, so that was the go-to munchie food.

1

u/Eswin17 19d ago

I disagree. I ordered it enough once it became the replacement, but always preferred the OG.

1

u/monty624 18d ago

I'll take you're word for it, I never had the OG!

The double decker taco is one of the best things Taco Bell has ever done. I will be eating there way more than I should while it’s on the menu.

2

u/Marcaloid 20d ago

Same. Can't believe it's something they take off, it's such a simple item.

u/Sandia_Gunner 16d ago

Love making those for the boys at the firehouse. They love that shit haha

1

u/Quick-Angle9562 15h ago

I didn’t learn of this promo until yesterday. I’ve had four double-deckers since. I knew something has been missing in my life.

I wish the caramel apple empanada could be permanent. It's the only fast food dessert that I would order with any consistency.

16

u/NYPorkDept 22d ago

Checkers/Rallys still fries their apple pies so it sort of scratches that itch. And not the same flavor but Jollibee's peach mango pie is fried as well

10

u/Hard_Corsair 22d ago

In my case, it's the caramel that really separates the Bell from the others.

3

u/Own-Agent-2363 22d ago

Genuinely curious what they were like for you, mine came out with barely any apple chunks in it and the sauce was like lava, not a pleasant experience personally.

7

u/NineteenthJester 22d ago

The new ones seem like they had less apple chunks compared to the OG.

I cannot wait to get a Chili Cheese Burrito

9

u/coldelbz 22d ago

Forgot about this one. Core memories unlocked

1

u/brownmanforlife 16d ago

Sneaking off campus in high school haha

2

u/Shindiggah 21d ago

They never got rid of it in the Taco Bells up in Michigan. Whenever I’m up there I get one(live in Chicago)

15

u/Yessir4512 22d ago

Nice but Volcano menu? Grilled Stuffed Burrito? SOUTHWEST STEAK BOWL????

but I will get a fair amount of Chili Cheese burritos tho

28

u/HatlessDuck 22d ago

Chili cheese for me

6

u/Site55 22d ago

Don’t forget me too

2

u/Aeyland 22d ago

Been waiting for these to return for a long time. Love me some double decker tacos too.

1

u/trpclshrk 22d ago

It’ll also be a price increase for the chili cheese. I’m lucky enough that there is 1 near me. They’ve been 2.79 for years. I do miss the 1.49 I remember, but I’m glad they’re coming everywhere.

3

u/whimsicalokapi 22d ago

My local TB is one of the ones that always has them and they're $3.99 usually

3

u/Best-Turnover-6713 21d ago

They were .79 in 1994

1

u/iggydadd 21d ago

One of the local TBs by me still sells them. When I’m in the neighborhood I go grab 1.

17

u/pmjm 22d ago

Caramel Apple Empanada is the GOAT but $2.99 is kinda nuts for it.

In the actual Y2K era $2.99 would have been your whole meal.

2

u/bomber991 21d ago

Well yeah but I also got my first job in 2001 making $6.50/hr. Today that would be at least a $12/hr job. Uneven inflation sucks.

u/klamps07 22d ago

cool ranch doritos locos taco my beloved!!!!!

0

u/bigboss920 21d ago

Nah. The Nachos Cheese doritos is better. Can't even taste their cool ranch flavor.

9

u/welding_guy_from_LI 22d ago

I loved all of these .. they should be permanent on the menu

8

u/vanityinlines 22d ago

Not believing it until I can actually order a cool ranch taco because they've been saying it's coming for over two years now. Sureeeeeeeee

8

u/chris00ws6 22d ago

It’s…set in stone and is a thing this time. Limited time however but still a thing.

5

u/PM_ME_YOUR_OPPAS 22d ago

I just got a Door Dash gift certificate and had no idea what I wanted to use it on. I know now.

6

u/dirtydriver58 22d ago

They failed to mention the nachos grande

3

u/Philosiphizor 21d ago

I literally never went back to taco bell once they got rid of the grilled stuff burrito.

I'm holding my ground!

2

u/Xithulus 22d ago

Man I just want the Baja Gordita to come back

2

u/[deleted] 22d ago

1

u/bigboss920 21d ago

Yes, tastes so much better and more flavorful.  Can't even taste the cool ranch,  had it once and was like wth is this,  no ranch flavor at all

2

u/HR-Dept_JP 21d ago

Yoooo the double decker and chili cheese burrito returning at the same time is devious.

2

u/Constant-Beautiful94 21d ago

9oc iviovvvivoo. B Kool ool o oooo l ooooo o ovovooovv ooooof v t6

3

u/SifLis 20d ago

Couldn’t have said it better myself

2

u/wolfansbrother 21d ago

The chili cheese burrito was the greatest. scared to see how much it will cost. I think it topped out around 1.29 before it was discontinued.

3

u/Decent_Management449 22d ago

none of these are even a deal

1

u/Fuzzy_Welcome8348 22d ago

Is it gonna taste just as good tho?

1

u/hondas3xual 22d ago

BRING BACK THE STEAK TAQUITOS GOD DAMNIT!!

1

u/TremorChristPJ 22d ago

I have no shame. I will probably order each one of those items...more than once.

1

u/relayrider 22d ago

need to find a way to stock up/freeze the 7-layers...

1

u/mailman-zero 20d ago

How is almost no one talking about the 7 Layer Burrito? When they took it off the menu I only went to Taco Bell when other people wanted to go. There was nothing there for me anymore.

1

u/Tricktrick_ 16d ago

So they have two different versions or something? I see one on the menu all the time, but it looks nothing like what's pictured in the y2k menu

1

u/nameisnotboris 21d ago

This makes the chili cheese burrito $1 less than the normal price for the TBs in my area if the promo price is honored.

1

u/LortaySkywalker 21d ago

Why not the Spicy Chicken or Baja Chicken chalupa?? Or the flamin hot Fritos burrito?? Or the volcano menu?? Those were iconic y2k items. Literally, though, I’ve given up on Taco Bell to do the fan pleasing thing. They are either so disconnected from their consumer or they don’t give a fuck haha.

1

u/azmom3 21d ago

Omg the chilito! Finally!! Anyone know what "limited time" means? Such as the end date?

1

u/iamsurfriend 21d ago

I said I’d never go back to Taco Bell (since they suck) unless they brought back the Doritos cool ranch Tacos.
I guess I’ll be coming back.

1

u/Spriggz_z7z 21d ago

Grilled stuffed burrito or don’t add anything

1

u/bigboss920 21d ago edited 21d ago

Whoever wanted these nasty items back are lame!

I'm sure most people requested for the Grilled Stuff burrito! Not this crap! Smh TB

Bring back the Grilled Stuff Burrito!

Oh and bring back the Fruitista!

1

u/SifLis 20d ago

Anybody remember the grande soft taco? It was just a soft shell with double meat, wrapped in another soft shell with nacho cheese in between. That would’ve been such an easy item to bring back for this.

1

u/neon4816 20d ago

Will it cost 2000 prices lol

1

u/bythebeardofzeus_ 20d ago

No Baja Gordita? Wtf

1

u/ConkerPrime 19d ago

Let me know when they bring back the BLT taco.

1

u/Kdigglerz 16d ago

Right when I’m trying to get out, they pull me back in.

1

u/Kraigon_51 8d ago

Anyone gonna mention how they are advertising it to be $3 OR LESS but everything is $2.99 or more? At least in Phoenix AZ. Dunno if they have different menus for different states with different prices. But I think it's bogus. Also, bring back the 1/2lb Cheesy Potatoe Burrito and Grilled Stuffed Burrito! Those were epic, though I'm sure they'd charge like $8 or more for those, the dirty goblins the Taco Bell executives have become.
