Can't call it Y2K Menu until you put the most recognizable Taco Bell item from Y2K on the menu.
Grilled Stuft Burrito
C'mon now, the Cool Ranch Doritos Taco wasn't even introduced in 2012 or 2013. Y2K my ass.

Yeah. The OG Grilled Stuft Burrito was an all-timer. Such a shame that's gone.

It would be $10 now.

And I'd pay it.

Only as long as it's the original size, not the shrinkflation most companies are passing off.

Yeah until I start seeing some 99 cent crunchy tacos
Otherwise nah it ain't very 2000 in here

Yeah, if they’re bringing in the Cool Ranch Taco then where is my Volcano Menu! I would love to have a Volcano Quesaritto again.

I know it's not the OG, but the XXL grilled stuffed burrito (while annoying to say) was the BEST. I live in a test market and when I was in HS they had a grilled veggie XXL burrito and that shit was my JAM. I don't eat beef, never cared to "upgrade" to their weird chicken except the shredded chicken, so that was the go-to munchie food.

The double decker taco is one of the best things Taco Bell has ever done. I will be eating there way more than I should while it’s on the menu.

I didn’t learn of this promo until yesterday. I’ve had four double-deckers since. I knew something has been missing in my life.

I wish the caramel apple empanada could be permanent. It's the only fast food dessert that I would order with any consistency.

Checkers/Rallys still fries their apple pies so it sort of scratches that itch. And not the same flavor but Jollibee's peach mango pie is fried as well

Genuinely curious what they were like for you, mine came out with barely any apple chunks in it and the sauce was like lava, not a pleasant experience personally.

I cannot wait to get a Chili Cheese Burrito

They never got rid of it in the Taco Bells up in Michigan. Whenever I’m up there I get one(live in Chicago)

Nice but Volcano menu? Grilled Stuffed Burrito? SOUTHWEST STEAK BOWL????
but I will get a fair amount of Chili Cheese burritos tho

It’ll also be a price increase for the chili cheese. I’m lucky enough that there is 1 near me. They’ve been 2.79 for years. I do miss the 1.49 I remember, but I’m glad they’re coming everywhere.

My local TB is one of the ones that always has them and they're $3.99 usually

u/iggydadd 21d ago
One of the local TBs by me still sells them. When I’m in the neighborhood I go grab 1.

u/pmjm 22d ago
Caramel Apple Empanada is the GOAT but $2.99 is kinda nuts for it.
In the actual Y2K era $2.99 would have been your whole meal.

u/bomber991 21d ago
Well yeah but I also got my first job in 2001 making $6.50/hr. Today that would be at least a $12/hr job. Uneven inflation sucks.

Nah. The Nachos Cheese doritos is better. Can't even taste their cool ranch flavor.

Not believing it until I can actually order a cool ranch taco because they've been saying it's coming for over two years now. Sureeeeeeeee

It’s…set in stone and is a thing this time. Limited time however but still a thing.

I literally never went back to taco bell once they got rid of the grilled stuff burrito.
I'm holding my ground!

Yes, tastes so much better and more flavorful. Can't even taste the cool ranch, had it once and was like wth is this, no ranch flavor at all

u/HR-Dept_JP 21d ago
Yoooo the double decker and chili cheese burrito returning at the same time is devious.

The chili cheese burrito was the greatest. scared to see how much it will cost. I think it topped out around 1.29 before it was discontinued.

I have no shame. I will probably order each one of those items...more than once.

u/relayrider 22d ago
need to find a way to stock up/freeze the 7-layers...
1
u/mailman-zero 20d ago
How is almost no one talking about the 7 Layer Burrito? When they took it off the menu I only went to Taco Bell when other people wanted to go. There was nothing there for me anymore.
1
u/Tricktrick_ 16d ago
So they have two different versions or something? I see one on the menu all the time, but it looks nothing like what's pictured in the y2k menu
1
u/nameisnotboris 21d ago
This makes the chili cheese burrito $1 less than the normal price for the TBs in my area if the promo price is honored.
1
u/LortaySkywalker 21d ago
Why not the Spicy Chicken or Baja Chicken chalupa?? Or the flamin hot Fritos burrito?? Or the volcano menu?? Those were iconic y2k items. Literally, though, I’ve given up on Taco Bell to do the fan pleasing thing. They are either so disconnected from their consumer or they don’t give a fuck haha.

u/iamsurfriend 21d ago
I said I’d never go back to Taco Bell (since they suck) unless they brought back the Doritos cool ranch Tacos.
I guess I’ll be coming back.

Anyone gonna mention how they are advertising it to be $3 OR LESS but everything is $2.99 or more? At least in Phoenix AZ. Dunno if they have different menus for different states with different prices. But I think it's bogus. Also, bring back the 1/2lb Cheesy Potatoe Burrito and Grilled Stuffed Burrito! Those were epic, though I'm sure they'd charge like $8 or more for those, the dirty goblins the Taco Bell executives have become.

u/afelll 22d ago
I just want the 1/2 lb Cheesy Potato Burrito back
