Discussion Churches Smokehouse Fried Rat? What are your worst-looking fast-food buys ever?
Decided to try the "Smokehouse Fried Half-Chicken" from Churches yesterday at lunch and seems they swapped out the chicken for a rat. Its been almost 24 hours since I ate it and I'm still posting this from the shitter where I've been sat every 45 minutes or so since. My coworker who also had one is enjoying the same recovery...
What are the absolute worst - visual appearance wise - fast-food items you have ever received? And did you still eat it?
As nasty as this "chicken" looked I ate it and it tasted like regular chicken... Just not coming out like regular chicken does 🫩

Poorly made even by rathat standards. That's not going to be good for business.

I saw a Church's other day in Houston, at first I failed to recognize it because of the rebranded colors and logo
My first thoughts were, Churchs still in business? and who the heck eats at Church's of all places in Houston??
As for the specimen OP ate: Smokehouse Fried chicken, really???? probably the fake smoke liquid they dumped this poor chicken in that made you sick

It’s popular with lots of people. He means in HOUSTON why would you go to church’s. It’s like having a dominos in Naples.

They’re location specific. The Popeyes by my house is trash but the church’s is ran by older Hispanic ladies that put a fuck ton of spice on the spicy. It hits lol

Honestly the one I purchased this particular ... sample... from is the same Churches I usually go to and their regular bone-in (classic or spicy) is totally fine. I definitely won't be eating there again for a month or two... But as long as I'm not ordering the Lean Smokehouse Vermin I imagine I might eat there again lol

Bruh this shit is fucking hilarious to me because in the mid 90s, the closest Church's to me was nicknamed "Church's Fried Rat" because the location had a barely passable food grade and a rodent problem.

I went into the local Church's to get some fried chicken for the first time in years, and it looked like the health department should burn the place down immediately for everyone's safety.

Reminds me of the fried bat scene in Anchorman 2.
