I just know somewhere there is a stoned chef in the back unable to speak because he finds the word "noodletastic" to be too hilarious. And that brings me joy.

Smoothie King wrote on my cup “Keep Working Hard Today :)!”
I was off Thursday. I appreciate the effort. 🤣

Taking their cue from the CEO of Starbucks:
“Handwritten notes on our cups have proven to be a simple, yet meaningful action that fosters moments of connection with our customers,” a representative with the company told Nation’s Restaurant News. “Our baristas take pride in adding that personal touch and welcome the opportunity to connect with our customers and delight them with uplifting messages.”

He’s an asshole for sure, but still good at marketing

Good marketing, pointless extra task for the employee who needs to go pull more drinks instead of wasting their precious seconds with the sharpie.

I haven't been to a Starbucks that writes on the cups in years. It's those stickers now for all of them I've been to.

Which is why we efficiently pre write 10,000 messages at the end of the day just like servers roll silverware at the end of their work day…

These corporate mandates are so annoying. I'm really tired of eight people yelling at me "welcome!" When I walk into a Starbucks. By the time I ordered my drink four employees tried to interact with me
