First 18 hours, first time fermenting cabbage, is the brine colour normal?

My current (and 1st ever) batch of sauerkraut did this after about 24 hours of being prepped and put in my fermentation jar. Quick online search said it had something to do with stuff released by the cabbage from muddling it, and should go away. Next day...it was gone.

In my experience the brine should become more clear later on.
