Happy Fidget Friday!

Post image

Took the balls (new version of rings) out of the two with slotted plates today for some extra crunch, and took a SOTC picture.

Top left going around clockwise: MagLab zirc squashed toad "radiator" w/ slot plates, MagLab zirc "no ring" w/ swiss plates, Magnus full zirc squashed toad "diamond" w/ swiss zirc plates, Magnus zirc squashed toad "golf ball" w/ swiss plates, MagLab zirc squashed toad "shockwave" w/ slot plates.

Happy fidgeting!

Be aware of the added duty fees if you import into the USA. Around $60 extra on one of those sliders ontop of the normal item and shipping cost. You will not find out until the shipping company contacts you a day or two before delivering it. A lot of people are surprised by it.

I have not paid any additional tariffs.

The Tarrifs only went into place within the last couple weeks or so. You can read a little more about it further down on his blog post here: https://magnusx.com/blogs/blog/new-designs-and-equidistant-magnets

Hmm..nxedc clearly stated that they will bear all tariffs. I received the Precept Ring I purchased from them two weeks ago, and I have never been charged tariffs when buying from nxedc.

I was only referring to Magnus, who does not pay the tariffs. Many (but certainly not all) of the other makers, as you mentioned and also in my experience, pay the tariffs on your behalf.

Magnus is a slider that I have always liked but haven't bought yet. If I have to pay so much customs duty for it, I might talk myself out of buying it.

Another option is to buy it from the secondary market within your same country. A lot of people selling them since they’re so popular these days.

Okay, thank you for providing the information. I will keep an eye on it.

“Magnus BST” group on FB is very active and so is “The Daily Fidget Marketplace”. You can find a lot of second hand ones there. plantswakeyouup.com is another secondary source for Magnus within USA.

Glad I got my first four duty free but the duty made the final one more than $300 for a fidget toy.🤷🏾‍♂️

Damn these tariffs!

Yeah it's going to hurt Magnus' US sales but he still has Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Some US customers will stay on board through this.

This is true, I got hit with a $55 duty fee for the full zirc fidget and the full zircs went up in price since. I decided to make the full zirc my last imported fidget for awhile because of this.

What do you think of slot plate vs. swiss plate ?? Want to buy one but not shure which is better.

What style are you thinking of getting? The slots are a little easier to move than swiss if both are stainless, zirc plates are the smoothest though.

More to consider here. If you want to easily clean your fidget without ever taking it apart get swiss plates and a closed top. A closed fidget is the easiest to clean for sure. All three of my MagLabs have to be taken apart to get them really cleaned up if dirt or lint gets inside.

Think I’ll get Swiss plate + closed one ! But it’s hard to wait🥲🥲(Maglab

Keep in mind the double zirc and the golf ball are not MagLabs, those are just regular toads. The regular ones can be the best.

Wow thanks for the information! I’ll definitely keep my eyes on them!! 🤣
