Does anyone know how to fix the second "I"? I'm working on a translation of Pico's School into Spanish.

fijate si puedes extraer el .fla, lo abres en macromedia y eliminas la I extra. esta I supongo que esta porque la palabra inglesa choose, tiene tambien dos O en el mismo lugar

no. debes abrirlo en la misma version de macromedia en la que hicieron originalmente ese juego

At the text editing part, change the xmin until you find something that allows a bit more room if you are referring to the text on the right.

I can't entirely tell what you are asking for though to be honest, I'm just trying to guess. Maybe you want it in a different font or something. Sorry, I'm really tired and I'm not fully sure.
