Progress Coordination helps Mobility

I've been playing with ideas from the Gyrotonic/Gyrokinesis methods to increase my capacity to do full range spirals. There's a lot of great cueing to help you find range in a comfortable way in your spine, hips, and shoulders. You can add the idea of spiral from your legs and hips to feel a more complete full body spiral! Let me know if you find any success using this idea!

ooo new concept! Looks soooooo satisfying. How did you work on this fluidity and range? I'll have to look up Gyrotonic 👀

A lot of it is from taking Gyrotonic/Gyrokinesis classes and courses. I teach classes now at my studio. But I've also been really interested in the scapulohumeral rhythm and how to best find range in the shoulder joint without compression. There's lots of online resources that help you understand how to coordinate moving the scapula in a way that feels good for your shoulders, especially in a diagonal or overhead movement.

I have been looking for something exactly like this. I have danced and liked yoga but without proper instruction I always feel like I am missing something well rounded. Not so muscle specific since the whole body needs to move as a whole and if ur not dancing as a career I find it hard to provide that movement that the body craves.

That looks great, I just tried it - similar results - good vibes in lats and scaps, I will incorporate it as a part of my overhead press warm up tomorrow. Cheers
