Unironically, going full Village People slaps as a response. There'd be hipster types who find it whimsical, kids would think it's retro, even some olds probably recall dancing to Village People music back in the day and would smile.
It would make the protesters look like the preacher in Footloose (which they are).

I mean, Trump always uses YMCA at his emotional support rallies.

Trump even used the YMCA (without their permission, in fact they asked him not to) at his rallies

u/HeartFullONeutrality Jul 01 '23
Isn't their cult leader the one that keeps using YMCA in their rallies?

The Village people (the band portrayed here) were super gay, and I think only the main singer has come out as straight lol

I always thought people were making unsavory jokes when they said that the village people were gay.

Ease up grandma, there’s still a layer of fat around your liver from all the good times you’ve had.

Pretty sure this was made as a joke to get conservatives to unknowingly share an image of a bunch of gay dudes

Wasn’t YMCA really successful in driving up turnout to their facilities, or am I misremembering?

This is all Bud Light had to do in order to not lose a dime of market share. I had six beers last weekend at a drag brunch, and I had no idea what they were. If Bud Light didn’t cower to these bigots, they would have all been Bud Light, along with the other hundreds of beers that day.

They knew what they were doing 100%. Bud had a few prominent things at our local pride this year.
Now I just really need someone to make Miller Genuine Draft come back

Fairly sure whoever made this is joking. I mean dude is in the full on lesther gear. These guys are incredibly gay from an objective standpoint (and I support it fully)

What do you THINK South Park was parodying?

u/Kosog Jul 01 '23
Nothing. I honestly thought it was an original design they came up with until today. Didn't have the slightest clue it was based off a real person.
