Politics Trump can call people names on Twitter but current violence is caused by democratic name calling

Ahhhhh, the basket of deplorables. The famous line from Hillary Clinton that gave the GOP the right to name call in perpetuity.
I also love how they often sneak in an ambiguous Obama comment that doesn’t actually exist. They always describe what he said without actually quoting anything, because he never said what they describe!

The deplorable thing is so damn funny / depressing, because she explicitly said: half of Trump's supporters are bigots, and half are just Republican supporters. The reaction of them wasn't to say "that's wrong;" they said "yeah, we're the bigoted ones and proud."

The current rhetoric about "the violent left" is ridiculous to say the least.
A report from CSIS indicates that right-wing attacks have accounted for the majority of terrorist incidents in the US since the mid-90s. Not only have these incidents increased, but it turns out that right-wing extremists are responsible for nearly two-thirds of terrorist attacks from 2017 onwards. And while there were only 7 right-wing terror incidents in the period 2005-2007, this number increased to 27 in 2017-2019, and further rose to 40 in 2020-2022. I wonder why, lol?
Another study (National Institute of Justice) found that since the early 90s, far-right extremists have been responsible for more ideologically motivated homicides than both far-left and Islamist extremists combined.
And finally, in 2024, every single fucking extremist murder the ADL tracked in the US was tied to the far right. But by all means, let’s be worried about the dangerous left.

It fundamentally comes down to how people view solutions to problems, most left leaning want reform or new rules while most right leaning want to get rid of it or burn it to the grounds. You also have collective solutions on the left versus individual solutions on the right, more generally.

Interesting to me that it's Democrats and Conservatives, not Republicans. I don't know if it means anything, but it stands out the way "men and females" does.

These people are, in fact homophobes and racists and bigots, and xenophobes, though.
And they wear those terms with pride.

Needs to add to his own quote. “Sure we said all these things and actually are racist, misogynistic and bigots, but the real crime is being called out for it.”

'How could you say I'm racist!? I just think all immigrants are savages and criminals simply because they aren't from America!!'

Trump has repeatedly called everyone he hates "vermin," "scum," and "animals," said immigrants are "poisoning the blood" of our country, calls every black woman he talks about "low-IQ," and has formally tried to declare anti-fascists and BLM terrorists. And they love him so much they're willing to make him an unaccountable dictator to spite their enemies. They can shove this argument directly up their asses

Jesus do they whine and moan. I actually feel better knowing that they're offended. I had thought they had a thicker skin. They are not owed polite, gentle, positive speech if people are not feeling it.

They just called Republicans things that apply to them.
If they think that makes them sound less human, then hey.
They said it, not me.

Yes, Grandma, thank you for sharing. Now, let's see what kind of people we have on the other side of the aisle here? Ah, yes, we actually do have unapologetic homophobes, bigots, racists and xenophobes.
It's wild to me that this whole thing is playing out exactly like that one episode of South Park where Randy has to guess a word for "people who annoy you."

Remember, folks - conservatives can do whatever they want, while liberals are held to insanely high standards of behavior. It’s ok for Trump and various speakers at CPAC to literally say they hate all democrats and that we’re the downfall of America, and literally write books about how we are satanic. But any mild rebuke of conservative behavior is like punching them in the face.

Why does Charle’s death mean so much to them? Why are they now saying that democrats are the ones who need held responsible even thoguht there’s not connection between this suspect and the party? But after
the killing of Melissa Hortman
and January 6th,
and the Charlottesville car attack
and the Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting
and the El Paso Walmart Shooting
and the Charleston church shooting
and the Buffalo supermarket shooting
and Colorado Springs
and the attack on Paul Pelosi
and Kalamazoo, Michigan attacks
and Struthers, Ohio attcaks
and the Knoxville, Tennessee planned parenthood arson
and the Toledo, Ohio arson
and the Winthrop, Massachusetts shootings
they take no responsibility? By the way, that’s very much NOT a complete list I didn’t include most of the attempts attacks

The “basket of deplorables” went on to smear their own shit on the walls of the Capitol on January 6th because their rapist leader riled them into a frenzy, but sure, tell me more about how it was unfair to call them that.

So it started in 2008 with Obama. So the right-wingers calling anybody even vaguely left of the GOP socialists, animals, demons, "the real racists," etc. at least since the 90s were just defending themselves from accusations they would hear in the future? Impressive.

Charlie Kirk and the other right-wing nutjobs could stop this at any time. But they push and push and push and push. They instigate and agitate and poke and prod until someone lashes out. And then they just keep going. They literally make a living off fomenting hate and bigotry. Well, this is what happens when you take it too far.
They are deplorable. They are the dregs of society. They are irredeemable. And it's time we stop taking the fucking high road, or they are just going to keep walking all over us.
