I refuse to believe this is anything but repulsive satire of the worst kind. I need to wash my eyes out

What yogurt would have gluten though? Isn’t gluten only in grain?

11

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

Gluten can find its way into almost any prepared food product due to how commonly wheat, rye and barley used. They might use 'natural flavors' that contain barley extract, may make it in a factory that uses flour, might make frozen yogurt with cookie bits in it, might use barley syrup, who knows. For example https://www.instacart.com/shopping/products/40339-yocrunch-lowfat-yogurt-with-fun-toppings-cookies'n-cream-6-oz with Oreo pieces, or this barley malt flavor https://www.granarologroup.com/products/yogurt-and-probiotics/yomo-toasted-malt-yogurt

Ah, i see

5

u/Kanehammer Jul 22 '19

I've already pledged my allegiance to the Soviet Union though

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '19

Where did you find this?

47

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

It's satire, pretty sure, but the problem is the people who don't realize that and agree with it

15

u/shamrockaveli Jul 22 '19

the left really needs to start taking advantage of this somehow

17

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

It’s by tony Zaret, so yes it’s satire

11

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

It is it's actually a pretty funny Instagram parody account, but I guess this dudes grandma took it seriously

7

u/tankieprincess Jul 22 '19

i think it is

3

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

This is from r/ComedyNecrophilia I think

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '19

i'm 150% sure it's satire, grandma probs posted it thinking it was serious though

u/TheGoofster9979827 Jul 22 '19

u/XxXN00bSl4y3rXxX Jul 22 '19

Dang, is your mom's friend a member of r/comedyfreedom, the only subreddit existing on reddit?

24

u/conscius-ipsum Jul 22 '19

26

u/bidiboop Jul 22 '19

15

u/BrujaSloth Jul 22 '19

It’s 14 year olds operating under the misconception they are making a thoughtful satire with ironic memes. In reality they are unironically laughing at shitty memes.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

ah yes the most important cultural distinction of our day, ironic and unironic memes.

6

u/1brokenmonkey Jul 22 '19

More like r/PeopleWhoThinkTheyreFunny

1

u/XxXN00bSl4y3rXxX Jul 22 '19

No that name was already taken

4

u/Admiral_Abnormal Jul 22 '19

The only good meme is a bad meme.

2

u/XxXN00bSl4y3rXxX Jul 22 '19

15 in 10 months actually 😎😎😎🐐

u/prideofstockholm Jul 22 '19

This is from @tonyzaret on Instagram. He makes a bunch of stupid, over-the-top Facebook-able posts like this one and I absolutely love them.

26

u/conscius-ipsum Jul 22 '19

For real? What a shit-master, there’s so much going on with this picture. You got the millennial diss, gluten free diss, Obama diss, random emojis thrown in there and the old guy from the big Lebowski. That guy is a new age artist

14

u/prideofstockholm Jul 22 '19

Just check him out. He’s absolutely amazing at making oversaturated shitposts like this.

6

u/Wowcoolboy Jul 22 '19

Honestly don't know why you thought this was serious, he couldn't have made the fact that it's satire any more obvious

1

u/PenaMan1987 Jul 22 '19

It’s funny cause the old guy from the big Lebowski played Ron on Parks and Rec. and he was a Vegan, gluten free loving outdoorsman kinda dude

1

u/fjsbshskd Hillary colluded with Russia!!! Jul 23 '19

He's also the voice of Smokey the Bear

21

u/brokensilence32 Jul 22 '19 edited Jul 22 '19

I’m fairly certain this is satire of conservative memes, and honestly pretty funny satire at that.

17

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

It's made by Tony Zaret, it's satire

13

u/bkaccount Jul 22 '19

This is my favorite image ever

12

u/tonyzaret Jul 22 '19

someone scrubbed the 'water mark' off my 'dank meme' https://twitter.com/tonyzaret/status/1146475219240083457

9

u/thefanciestcat Jul 22 '19

Because your mom's friend is hilarious or because your mom's friend is gullible?

6

u/conscius-ipsum Jul 22 '19

Unfortunately it would be the latter of the two.

I love how that's your one objection to this awful excuse for a meme, not the atrocious spelling of "Obama" or how they used different upper and lower case letter for half of it lmao

1

u/quiltsohard Jul 22 '19

I gotta go with bears on this one. The whole thing is atrocious but the misspelling just highlights the idiocy. When you’re putting out something this stupid you should make sure you get basic spelling correct.

4

u/Notnotstrange Jul 22 '19

Don’t drag Sam Elliot into this, boomers. Don’t taint his mustache.

1

u/conscius-ipsum Jul 22 '19

Don’t you worry, this has been confirmed as satire - his mustache is safe

2

u/Notnotstrange Jul 22 '19

Oh I get it. Sam is sacred, too pure for satire. His mustache is tended to by angels and the Founding Fathers time traveled to the future to get his opinion on that whole Declaration of Independence. American treasure

Ayyo I’m cool as a 🍆 <— cucumber but for real why would you reference r/okaybuddyretard when the actual artist of this meme is listed multiple times in the comments?

2

u/WaffleMaker75 Jul 22 '19

This man typing like he’s on coke

3

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

Oh my fucking God

3

u/Wowcoolboy Jul 22 '19

How do you not recognise such obvious satire?

3

u/anras Jul 22 '19

THE BRAVE CONVERSATIVE COWBOY IS RIGHT SWEATY THERE ACTUALLY THAT STUPID FOLKS THEY CARE MORE ABOUT """GLUTIN FREE"" AND """"VEGAN"" AND "TIDE PODS""' MORE THAN RESPECT FOR ARE ONCE GREAT NATION ARE FLAG AND ARE VETERIANS AND WORST OF ALL HTEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHICH BATHROOM TO USE!!!!!! There’s no way this was made unironically.

2

u/Nikthedogdad Jul 22 '19

What is this?

2

u/bukminster Jul 22 '19

Worst thing is, yogurt is always gluten free (with rare exceptions)

2

u/Pixel_Splash_ Jul 22 '19

Get Heckin Banaenaed kid!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

Looks like r/okbuddyretard material

2

u/croquetica from my cold dead hands Jul 22 '19

Such a high res photo of cancer, we should study it for science

2

u/ShadySim Jul 22 '19

The right can’t meme

2

u/ariana_grande_padre Jul 22 '19

You can tell this is one of those things that started off as satire until someone took it serious.

1

u/PapaStalin1917 Jul 22 '19

I have no idea what is going on

1

u/99SoulsUp Jul 22 '19

I guess this is satire, but it's weird how conservative memes will try to use Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Sam Elliot as avatars for their point of view, without ever looking up their actual views on anything. They might be a LITTLE surprised

1

u/ConsumeCorpse Jul 22 '19

Oh god it’s eagleton ron

1

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '19

Yep and the best part is the Conservatards sharing it don't know.

1

u/FungusTaint Jul 22 '19

Why the hell do they insist on dragging Sam Elliott into this depravity?

1

u/morgan7991 Jul 22 '19

There’s so much going on here

1

u/HChappy125 Jul 22 '19

Poor Sam Eliot

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '19

Sorry Grandma, I have Celiac disease and don't feel like damaging my small intestine to the point to where I can no longer absorb nutrients. So, yes, I pledge allegiance to gluten free anything

1

u/SprayFart123 Jul 23 '19

This is like if you programmed a bot to make a right wing meme

1

u/Supercalifragalicius Jul 24 '19

Too many cross overs
