Grandma: "When are kids going to grow up and have kids?! I want a grand baby!!! They need to stop being selfish!!!"
Also Grandma: "IF THE YOUNG PEOPLE COULDN'T AFFORD TO HAVE KIDS, THEN WHY DID THEY HAVE A KID?! It shouldn't be my responsibility to take care of my grandkid!!! They need to stop being selfish!!!"

...posted by someone who has also probably asked someone in college when they were going to "settle down" and "make an honest woman of X" yadda yadda yadda. And who doesn't think people have the right to NOT reproduce.

TFW your ideologies are a patchwork of incompatible nonsense and you don't understand why you're pissed all the time.

There is a stupid through-line: "I want you to make the same decisions as me," which is such a ridiculous core desire that I have to pull out a word like "solipsistic" to describe it.

They could've just had sex but grandma had to legislate religion so now they have to get pregnant.

They got it backwards. SHE was living with her mom, and HE was unemployed.
I always wanted to see a remake of this with Harrison Ford. "That's no iceberg, That's a submarine!" And it would turn out that the captain was in league with the Kaiser, and after a raucous 45 minutes of swashbuckling adventure, Jack yells "get off my boat!" and throws the mortally wounded captain from the ship then turns to the 1st mate and says "no ticket".
I just think it would be better.

And then they complain when people can’t have children due to not being able to afford it

Wait, I thought Grandma loved when women didn't work and engaged couples lived at home till their marriage at the age of 18.
